Dear Sir, Pakistan has been celebrating Kashmir Day for years, only to annoy India. Sometimes I feel that we are always on the backfoot. Why do we not celebrate Baluchistan Day in a bigger way on the same day every year? Is there any other language they will understand?

Smart Village Development in Gujrat. Mr. Bhiku Patel and Dr. Anil Shah from Los Angeles area have embarked upon creating 100 Smart Villages in Gujrat. They would like to create 1000 such villages across India. I recommend Dnyan prabodhan at Harali, Sholapur to kick start such efforts in Maharashtratra. It has an Agricultural Polytechnic which could be empowered to create value-adfing agricultural industries in rural areas.

Pakistani Military Chief recently discussed economic progress with industry leaders there. India should take the initiative ti offer economic cooperation with Pakistan since we do have a vested interest in the economic well-being of that country.

There is a definite and desparate need of discipline on roads specially in all the metro cities. With increasing number of vehicles there is no way one government can cope up with providing enough space. But with little discipline there is a sure relief in congestion. I would also want the PM to speak with the government officials from heart to do their jobs sincerely, maybe it might bring some change. All governments said Roads lead to prosperity but here roads and traffic is leading nowhere.

Respected Sir, American Dollars are increasingly expensive. To attract investment in American Dollars or British Pounds for that matter, our banks specially nationalised banks should be instructed to offer a higher rate of interest for deposits made out of American Dollars and British Pounds. This may ensure a better flow in of required currencies and our Balance of Payments position should ease. Gopinath
