Also, water availability is a major issue. In summers there is inadequate supply of water. Dependency on badatalao or rains for the city supply is inadequate.The pipeline for water needs upgradation

into houses, schools have to be shut down.life comes to a stand still. It is also because there is no proper system Kanpur needs a better drainage system. Every year when there is heavy rains, water seeps of garbage disposal and people throw garbage where ever they please. This clogs the drains
