International Day of Yoga is also called as the World Yoga Day. The idea of International Day of Yoga was first proposed by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, during his speech at the UNGA, on 27 September 2014. United Nations General Assembly declared 21st of June as the International Day of Yoga on 11th of December in 2014. Since 2015, 21st June is always celebrated as the International Day of Yoga all over the world.

This year, on the occasion of International Day of Yoga, Ministry of AYUSH has decided to invite suggestions/ideas/plans/proposals from Youth/ Youth Clubs/Senior citizens/Professionals/State Governments/Yoga Schools etc. for Celebrating the International Day of Yoga-2017, which can be undertaken on that day.

The last day of submission of ideas is 20th March, 2017.

Feeling proud to be an indian an its rich culture which also include yoga which is now internationally accepted to make it a grand success it should be made compulsory in all the schools to start the day with yoga n meditation,all government offices,there should be expert training team which goes individually in co-operate offices,to conduct small sessions of 15mins of yoga n meditation to increase interest of youth in yoga n it will slowy increase their working capacity n by reducing stress.ty

I Feel proud to celebrate International Yoga Day. Thank you Mr.Prime Minister for giving the world a glimpse of one of the true Indian traditional master art. A suggestion-The event should include performing the yogasanas at individual's workplace(pulic awa private including educational institutions)before starting the days work on Yoga day.This shall serve both the purposes. The day's work is not lost & the event is celebrated in a big way.#MyGov, #WorldYogaDay2017, #InternationalDayOfYoga2017

One member must get Gov job in each family provide jobs at faster pace this will only help you to win next elections. secondly,incentives for those families who have more then 2 girl child because how they manage money atleast you must help them ?? for marriage..your work must reach to every single persons Jai Hind

Sir Please make Yoga mandatory in schools and colleges with an incentive for all students. Similarly Yoga could be mae mandatory in all spheres of daily life in hospitals,wellness clinics,Businesses etc. An example here is how Japanese business houses create every morning drill for their employess before start of work. why not we do with yoga? Hope my small suggestions makes an impact for everyone's benefit

R/Sir, Meditation should also be included in Yoga. All schools must have at least one trained Yoga teacher. Secondly, in the wake of growing level of stress in all the offices/workplaces, there must be a separate room for meditation for all workers where a trained faculty should conduct Yoga and meditation.
