The Government has reviewed the existing draft National Youth Policy, 2014 and prepared a new draft National Youth Policy (NYP). The draft NYP envisages a ten - year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves to 'unlock the potential of the youth to advance India'.

The draft NYP seek to catalyze widespread action on youth development across five priority areas viz. education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice. Each priority area is underpinned by the principle of social inclusion keeping in view the interests of the marginalized sections.

The Department of Youth Affairs seek comments/views/suggestions on the draft NYP from all stakeholders.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Youth Policy (PDF 1.23 MB)

My suggestion to ministry of youth affairs and Sports is regarding Sports. I suggest that after crossing each 2kms everywhere, there should be a coaching of maximum Sports games especially in rural areas, govt officials should be appointed, they should also instruct youngsters how they can reach to the higher levels of any game in which a young boy is interested. Talent of many youngsters is wasted because of the lack of coaching and guidance to reach to the higher level. Many youngsters can't shift to cities or towns because of money. So ministry of youth affairs and Sports should look into this matter. I urge the present minster of this department to look into this matter, that would be his most kindness. SK AATIF UL REYAZ CONTACT NO.:6006096202

According to NYP the selection or targeted youth need to extend from the age of 15 to 35 or up to 40 so that the empowerment of the Five point programme i.e., education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice can be capitalize and implementing the NYP will be fruitful and more easier work. Precisely, at the implementation phase the participation of ground zero youths will be play crucial roll.

It is only subtly indicated that the population aged between 15 years to 29 years will be included in the ambit of the term ‘youth’. The total number covered under the policy is extremely sensitive to this categorization. The age-group eligible to come under the policy must be boldly and prominently enunciated in the Youth Policy. Legislation governing the hirer-hired rights and obligations has to be framed in consultation with the stake-holders to optimize the growth of the gig economy.

An uneasy calm engulfs the society today! ‘Ek sihran si’, that runs across, gives goose bumps - paradoxically, not so much for the recent ghastly events but post the judicial intervention! Just a few observations from some constitutional authorities, at the stroke of an unholy moment, seem to have left the youth bereft of all fundamental rights in the world’s largest democracy. The most challenging times ever for the current government! Expectations are huge, so is hope! Best wishes!

The coming generations are born with 5G and 6G. Let them be equipped well with it. There are some brain mapping using electric pulses are possible to a certain extent, which can be used in a cloud environment, coupled using 5G/6G communication. Thus every life can be assisted using the cloud facility. This may revolutionize the way of life hence it's quality and output. The concept may be named as "Artificially Assisted Life". Please consider doing some trials, as the new communication technology can handle a plethora of data. Such an idea already found floated in a different version.
