The National Commission for Women, a Statutory Body set up in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 has the mandate to safeguard the constitutional and statutory rights of women. The Commission initiates program which aids empowerment and holistic development of women so that they are capable to gain access to opportunities and make their own decisions.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was launched in 2000 by the U.N General Assembly. It is observed annually on November 25th. International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women seeks to raise awareness about violence against women. This day aims to eliminate violence by removing stigma and encouraging women to speak out against abusers. This day defines violence against women as any act of gender-based violence that results in or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm to women. The goal of this day is to achieve equality, development, and peace. It aims toward the fulfillment of women's and girls’ human rights.

In pursuance of its mandate and in order to achieve the goal of ‘Elimination of Violence against Women', the Commission invites inputs, suggestions, and feedback from all stakeholders through MyGov Portal, with a focus on Breaking the Silence against Gender Violence. The aim of the programme is to promote equality, development, and peace among the masses.

The last date to receive suggestions/input is 24th December 2021.

GOOD MORNING SIR, I THINK IT IS GOOD TO DO THE MARRIAGES AND ALLOW THE PEOPLE TO BOND IN FAMILY SYSTEM SO THAT EVERY ONE WILL KNOW THE VALUES OF FAMILY THEREFORE THEY HAVE RESPECT OF WOMEN. AND ALSO TEACH THE VALUES OF MOTHERHOOD AT SCHOOL LEVEL ITSELF AND TRY TO CURTAIL THE PRON IN THE NETWORK AND IN MOBILES AT THE ENTRANCE LEVEL BY GOVERNMENT BY CONTROLLING COMMUNICATION MEDIA. AS NOW A DAYS ALL CHILDREN WERE STICKING TO MOBILE PHONE THEY CONTAMINATED AT CHILDHOOD ITSELF.

The most common cause of crime in our society's mindset. If somebody is supporting someone financially, subconsciously they build the feeling of superiority and they think they can do whatever they desire. Husbands can suppress her, have right over her body, and abuse the woman. It also happens that if the husband in a household is unemployed and the wife is financially supporting the family she is subjected to domestic violence as he starts comparing his capabilities with that of the wife.

Female Infanticide/foeticide is an indirect consequences of caste based marriage through bribery(dowry). Indians very well know what is the reasoning of people/parents behind the female infanticide/foeticide in India. This again is the proof of many Indians being brain-dead that they kill their own child for what they call as “our society". Women has to understand that they are the biggest victim of system and take the necessary steps to get out of this vicious circle. Stand up for yourself.

Indian parents, brothers, and the women degrade themselves, for getting their daughters/sisters married, to such a low level, where they feel obliged to other for the favor done through immorality. Strange, right? “Obliged to others for the favor done through their immorality. Indians find it respectable and respectful to get their daughters, sisters married through dowry.  That's the biggest problem. To change something you have change yourself.

Educate women for there Constitutional rights and privileges and make Law and Police system and Judiciary to abide by it. Victim women should not e verbally harassed by Police or Judicial procedures for the live enjoyment of others. Evolve an OnLine system to avoid visiting of victim female to such places which embarrasses her and puts her under pressure to seek justice. Your System need to evolve and support Justice in Word and Spirit.

Dear Sir, As a woman I feel that every man should give respect to every single female of his family which every child will see. If females will get respect at home of our nation then every child will learn to give respect to women. Our Sanatan Sanskriti never taught us to rape anyone but from where did this concept came? So, we should focus on our culture, our granths and our sahitya. We should promote our Sanatani Culture.

We need to train women for self defence and provide them fire arms for their safety and support them by Law that they are free to USE IT for their self defence. The law should be in their favour in such case and let the criminal prove his innocence not the lady. Once people know the killer power in the hands of a LADY, nobody would dare to take her advantage. This would be real Women Empowerment.
