To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until 15th July 2023.

SIR I MYSELF IS A COLLEGE STUDENT AND CAN BETTER TELL YOU THE GROUND REALITIES OF HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM. 1. THERE IS A LOT OF REGIONAL DISPARITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN INDIA... EVEN NEP CANNOT PROVE SUCCESSFUL IF REGIONAL DISPARITY IS NOT TACKELED... SIR EACH AND EVERY STUDENT IN INDIA CAN BUILD A SUCCESSFUL NATION IF PROVIDED WITH GOOD DIRECTION AND ENOUGH RESOURCES... MANY A MERITORIOUS STUDENTS CANNOT AFFORD IITs IIMs DU JNU AU BHU etc. EVEN PARENTS MANY TIMES DONT ALLOW... AND THE LEFT OUT OPTION IS STATE UNIVERSITY. BUT IF YOU SEE THE CONDITIONS OF STATE UNIVERSITIES THEY ARE NOT UPTO THE MARK...EVEN TEACHERS HERE DONT HAVE KNOWLEDGE....EVEN THOUGH IT IS A STATE RESPONSIBILITY BUT EDUCATION BEING IN CONCURRENT LIST IT BECOMES RESPONSIBILTY OF CENTRE TOO IN THIS REGARD... SO MY RECOMMENDATION IS THAT SET AND SLET SHOULD BE SUBSTITUTED BY NET ONLY....SO THAT THERE IS NO DISPARITY IN QUALITY OF PROFESSORS ALSO UGC DESIGNED COMMON SYLLABUS SHOULD BE ADOPTED BYY ALL.

Hello Sir, About student life & career. There are lots of students those not eligible for competition exams due to their low marks percentage. But they want to sit in a competitive exam. for this, every student wants to give a marks improvement exam. These things students learn very late and all universities after 5-7 years not allow to sit marks improvement exams. I think these things are very important for all students. all University think about that. Marks Improvement facility must be available for all students. All records are online then why do these things happen which stop any student's career?

Subject: Granting a relaxation in upper age limit to EWS category candidates in central gov. jobs & education. Here are few reasons why EWS category should get age relaxation: ●when an OBC candidate having an income limit of Rs 8 lakh can get age relaxation, then why not EWS?. Technically, there should be no discrimination if the yardsticks are same. ●Economic deprivation and poverty are equally harmful factors as social backwardness. So, many children who are born in poor family get delay in their education. ●EWS candidates have faced economic challenges, which have hindered their ability to compete on an equal footing with other candidates. ●EWS candidates have had limited access to resources, opportunities, and education. ●Even, in many state Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir, Telengana, Andhrapradesh by removing this discrepancy, age relaxation has been given in EWS reservation like ST, SC and OBC reservation.
