In order to make the budget-making process participative and inclusive, the Department of Budget, Government of Uttarakhand invites Indians from all walks of life to contribute suggestions for the upcoming State Budget 2020-21 of Uttarakhand.

Your valuable ideas and suggestions will ensure a better future for the citizens of Uttarakhand. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comment box or attach a PDF document.

Promote Home Stays by funding, training and encouraging local families to benefit from tourism. This will also help to open up new areas for tourists where hotel accommodation is sparse or non-existing. Income goes directly in the hands of local people. Promote these home stays on Uttarakhand Tourism website as well with tie-up with agencies like Airbnb, Cleartrip, Make My Trip and other international hotel booking platforms. Also promote these home stays on travel agency websites.

The government must focused on the education system of the state. The parents are forced to live in cities near market place so that they can educate their child in order to survive in this world. They are living in rented accommodations for the betterment of their children at the same time ignoring their elders leaving them alone at old age. The teachers are also not much concerned in providing quality education to young ones as they got high salaried rather than metro cities.

Government should provide infrastructure facilities to the citizen. I have watched one video where people of all age (includes schools going students) are using rope to cross from one village to other which was really very dangerous. Work for employment through increase in tourist sector. Education facilities should increase as kids have to walk for around 1 hr one way.

Budget Should Be Focused on the better education and for that, All village boundrry to be fenced with interlocking wires to prevent entry of wild bores, since they inflict maximum damage to ripe cro The Educational Institutes can be formed as the connectivity is not good to reach school easily. The second and most important thing is to generate employment by giving them the training sessions and help them out financially to start their small businesses with selling goods in government stores.

Make income tax zero for individual PhD holder who invents a real innovative working product that benefits the society. This will give real boost to R&D rather than submitting papers for publications only on virtual products those never see the light of the day.

In budget should be focused on the better education and for that, the hostel schools can be formed as the connectivity is not good to reach school easily. The second and most important thing is to generate employment by giving them the training sessions and help them out financially to start their small businesses with selling goods in government stores.

Income Tax slab for Senior Citizens, retired and not employed anywhere, should be enhanced to Rs 10 Lakh and all other Income Tax concession for them should be removed.
