Calling for stories, videos and ideas on the 11 Fundamental Duties!

Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India this year on 26th November, 2019 , the Government of India launched a campaign focusing on creating awareness on the Fundamental Duties that are enshrined in Chapter IV-A (Article 51A) of the Indian Constitution throughout the country.

Fundamental Duties impart directions of citizenship behaviour on the part of all concerned. The onus of implementation of Fundamental Duties is on every citizen. Though not legally enforceable, they have an inherent element of compulsion regarding compliance because what is duty for one is another person’s right.

By practicing and thus reinforcing these Fundamental Duties, we, as common citizens, can play a positive and effective role in fulfilling our duties towards our country and fellow citizens and will also ensure that India occupies a rightful place in the comity of nations.

MyGov in collaboration with Department of Justice invites you to share your stories, videos or ideas on the 11 Fundamental Duties.
• to abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem
• to cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for freedom
• to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India
• to defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so
• to promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women
• to value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture
• to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wildlife, and to have compassion for living creatures
• to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform
• to safeguard public property and to abjure violence
• to strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavour and achievement
• who is a parent or guardian to provide opportunities for education to his child or, as the case may be, ward between the age of six and fourteen years.

The best way we can contribute to our country and society is by doing our work with utmost sincerity and honesty. When everyone makes their contribution in the way they are supposed to, there will be lesser bottlenecks and easier implementation of policies which will surely help every citizen. For example, a hassle free experience in a government office, say in getting passport will be remembered for longer time. When all machinery works well, the speed of development can be increased rapidly.

I believe that in the present time one of the prime duty of every citizen ought to be to Pay income and other taxes honestly, and on time, to central, state, and local government. Jai Mata Bharti.....

As a citizen of this country we should try to follow the fundamental duties mentioned in our constitution. we should be quiet sensitive towards the protection of our environment and establishment of the socialistic pattern of the society. As a citizen of this country I should be instrumental in the upliftment of the downtrodden and suppressed class of the society so that peace, progress and prosperity can be established across the country. We should give up nerrow thinking.

the Govt. has donewell in postponing the date of IT e-filing to the end of December. In this connection, it is here by earnestly submitted that the Govt. may be pleased to issue necessary directions to edit the return of 2019-2020, make due corrections and resubmit the same so that the tax payer is enabled to saved from any loss sir:-Radha Krishna Murthy Mukkamala, Vijayawada City, AP State.

I have seen people throwing garbage on to railway tracks. It should be our sole responsibility to properly dispose garbage. PLease throw garbage into the dustbin

Fellow citizens, Please do not stare tourists when they visit our country. Just imagine you in their situation. How would you feel? Also help the tourists both male and female. Especially, female tourists have to be treated nicely, always make them feel safe and please do not stare at them. Always remember Athiti devo bhava

Beautification and cleaning in the country. 2.Safety and security of people in our surroundings and alarm if there would be any wrong thing happening. 3.Adoption of make in India products. 3.Pay tax to the govt. and govt must provide privilege to Taxpayers. 4. Always praise INDIA if we are living outside INDIA . 5. No tolerance to Anti National activities 6. make corruption free environment . 7.
