The more you smoke, the more chance you have of getting diabetes. If you smoke 16 to 25 cigarettes a day, your risk for Type 2 Diabetes is 3 times greater than a non-smoker’s risk. When you quit smoking, your risk decreases during the years.

Smoking is now proven to be an independent risk factor for diabetes, and amongst diabetics it increases the risk of complications

Diabetes is on the rise. Lately smoking has been clearly associated with diabetes as it increases the blood glucose levels and reduces the efficiency of insulin activity

a.Poor oxygen to lungs leading to heart conditions
b.Increases storage of unwanted fat in the body leading to higher cholesterol

Smoking leads to poor health outcomes and is has a statutory warning printed on all cigarette packs. But yet people smoke. Most people associate smoking to lung cancer etc. but in all probability they do not understand that smoking has an impact on all aspects of health such as follows:

Need to adapt much more aggressive strategy to transform our country as quickly as possible and take on to the global stage. Simple ways are to set 12 goals, one goal each month, each goals much be priority based . Deploy all resources required to attain each goal. For example poverty eradications program, identify state where people live below the poverty line , provide all required support and make that state / region fully responsible for poverty eradications. Set Huge Vision and work on it
