The role of institutions of higher education in societal development is becoming increasing significant. In recent years, higher education has isolated itself from the society and there is a need to re-establish and strengthen higher education’s close linkages with the society. How can Universities foster social responsibility and engage in community outreach programmes. Sharing some working examples would also be a useful input.

Continued... PHD/D.Phil and are unemployed a list shall be prepared at ministry level.mostly many highly educated women initially prefers to their family and children in their early age and later on when they become over age when their children complete their schooling I.e secondary education. Government shall plan to utilized such type women in the development of country. Request to HRd minister to prepare a list of unemployed women who are highly educated unemployed and over age

I want to draw your kind attention on the highly educated women who are highly educated like P.HD. D.Phil in different stream of education like social science literature and are in age of fifty and are in role of house wife and unemployed .A post doctrol fellowship to unemployed women and specially who are interested to work on femel issue or their social status although ugc provide some fellow ship but in a small number. Make the education system such that all people working in govt. Offices must be well qualified (at least graduate for clerk and other post) cause it is necessary for the development of India.

 Like IAS, IPS IFS the IJS (Indian Judiciary Examination) should be conducted all India basis to select district judges.  IFS Examinations should be reserved for the students of International Studies and Area Studies.

 After 10th pass students should be given option to select their area of specialiasations i.e. medical, engineering, baking, teaching, judiaciary, IAS, CA etc. and educational curriculum should be framed accordingly.  More Universities should be opened in the back ward district and areas of countries.

 JNU is the role the role model of education both for the students and universities so JNU type of educational environment should be created in the other universities

 For the production of quality teachers the teachers training colleges (Bed Colleges) should be opened in the every universities and single entrance test should be made for the selection of Bed students.

 To improve the educational qualities of the universities we should made collaboration with world class universities like Harvard, oxford and Cambridge etc.

 There should not be any differences between technical and non technical Universities. All type of courses should be available within the single campus, like Harvard and Shanghais Universities.

 The Research (PhD) Programmes should be started immediately after the completion of Graduation. Due to Master Degree and Mphil courses both government and students are losing time and money. It would save at least 5 years for the students.  All the universities should be the collegiate universities. The universities should provide an integrated Graduation Cum-Research Programmes. It would improve the quality of education.
