There should be tourism department booths at the train and bus stations at the connecting points for various tourist places (like Kathgodam for Nainital, New Jalpaiguri for Drajeeling). These toourist booths should provide the facility for booking transportation (taxi, bus) from that point to the tourist spot and also for booking accomodation and sighseeing tours at the tourist spot. All this facilities should be provided at various price points so that tourists with small budgets can also have a hassle free and enjoyable stay at the tourist places.

Here in Shimla we have a prominent and important building, from tourism point of view, called Indian Institute of Advanced Study, earlier the Viceregal Lodge. The building is open to the pubic management is trying to discourage tourists to go and see it. Tourists go there and have to wait for an hours or so or just choose to return without seeing it. We have been fighting with them to avoid this act but they refuse to listen to us. So instead of promoting tourism they are preventing tourism.

Punctuality of trains at such places matter a lot in tourists places or nearby areas. Feeder bus service(on legitimate payment) from railway station/airports to particular tourist spots can help (e.g. New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling). Tourist booths at different places of interests in tourist spots. The Northeastern region of country needs better rail connectivity and advertisement to enhance tourist attraction.

Basically popular places are more populated than usual. There are many reasons like marketing , etc,. When we go abroad, we have a feeling that we are in a clean place and are confident that we dont get any contagious diseases due to untidyness. Somehow, government as well as private organisations must teach people that every foreign citizen visiting India must never be unsatisfied in any aspects. This includes hospitality, cleanliness, crimes free place, etc,. This would greatly work..

Popular destinations are crowed places . Most of them lack in basic hygine.Poor mental hygine and very poor social hygine prevents the influx of real tourist. 1)Public hygine should be lmproved with proper water supply good and clean food and plenty of clean toilets. 2)Mental hygine with proper safety measures and avoiding cheating of tourists3)social hygine ---how to behave with tourist without molesting their privacy specialy with woman visiting as tourist4) try to display the best.

Tourist destinations must tourist friendly. the first thing to look after in cleanliness of the detination, and secondly the security provided therein.

We can make ecofriendly natural parks where people can come to refresh themselves. Special government caretakers can be appointed to look after the maintainance of the park,plastics bags must be banned in the park paper bags must be provided ,all the garbage must be collected and it can be used to obtain biogas which can be used instead of LPGs. The food and water provided there must be healthyand clean.With this we can increase the job oppurtunities and in some way improve the economy of the nation.
