Municipal Corporation Dharamshala congratulates the citizens of Dharamshala for being selected in 23 fast track cities.

A special fast track has been provided to 23 high scoring cities of states/UTs to upgrade their proposal which are not covered in first twenty cities and submitted, it before 15th April 2016. The proposal which will achieve the benchmark set by the wining cities after evaluation by the panel of experts will become eligible for funding on accelerated basis in 2016-17.

To achieve the benchmark set by the MoUD and wining cities, wide range of citizen consultations/ engagements is prerequisite of the Project. In this regard Municipal Corporation Dharamshala appeal all the citizens to give their suggestions on Previous Proposal. Dharamshala Smart City Proposal and Comments received from MoUD are uploaded below.

The last date to submit your suggestions/ comments is 31st March, 2016.

I want dharamshala made a smart city. which should be kept in mind the infancy 1.100% households have drinking water system. 2. all houses is connected to sewerage facility 3. Promote tourism 4. Build a smart bus terminal 5. Must insure to new building code of conduct 6. Slum free society 7. Developments of vendors market 8. Insure to livelihood protection for pro poor people 9. Roads and street light 10. Develop new park & existing park protection 11. Develop playgrounds

Rain water harvesting plans should be adopted. Use of solar energy should be encouraged. Local bus transport should be made more efficient. City should be divided into proper sectors. New areas should be developed for office and commercial purposes at places where ample land is available to reduce congestion at kotwali, Kachehri.
