Municipal Corporation Dharamshala congratulates the citizens of Dharamshala for being selected in 23 fast track cities.

A special fast track has been provided to 23 high scoring cities of states/UTs to upgrade their proposal which are not covered in first twenty cities and submitted, it before 15th April 2016. The proposal which will achieve the benchmark set by the wining cities after evaluation by the panel of experts will become eligible for funding on accelerated basis in 2016-17.

To achieve the benchmark set by the MoUD and wining cities, wide range of citizen consultations/ engagements is prerequisite of the Project. In this regard Municipal Corporation Dharamshala appeal all the citizens to give their suggestions on Previous Proposal. Dharamshala Smart City Proposal and Comments received from MoUD are uploaded below.

The last date to submit your suggestions/ comments is 31st March, 2016.

7. Electric wires should be underground. A lot of birds get killed due to that and at times even the poles fell. 8. Homes for unemployed should be made wherein unemployed and people on the streets can be accomodated and given training for employment. Begging should be discouraged and beggars should be given employment training and they should also be accomodated in the employmenrt homes 9. Separate traffic lights should be there for traffic and pedestrians

4. Zoo should be made in the city 5. Vegetables should not be sold on the streets and road sides. it should give very negtive impact when the foreigner visited dharamshalaThere should be appropriate vegetable market at places such as Kachehri, Kotwali Bazr and McLeodganj. 6. Affordable housing for all and existing dilapidated housing should be improved

1. old age ashrams should be made in the city for those who do not have anyone else to take care of off. Anyone who want to come to the home can come there voluntarily. 2. Swimming pools should be made in the city and schools, this will give an opportunity for the students in the schools ti get involved in sports ans swimming. 3. Parks should be there in the city so that children can play there and elders can also go there.

world class solid waste management system, sanitation, electricity, drinking water supply should be provided in dharamshala.
