Kindly make a long term plan to eliminate the education cess and any other such additional items on tax payers who are otherwise paying taxes (individuals) the SHE and Swachh Bharat cess can be continued on other than individual tax payers, the small amount being collected can be clubbed with main tax and cess can be taken off from individuals, in case of employees the cess can be paid by their employers as a part of CSR like expenses which can be compensated off like carbon credits to companies

The long pending issue of standard deduction to the salaried person and increase in basic exemption limit of tax under income tax Act as suggested in the enclosed representation should be accepted by the government to give a big relief to them who are already suffering due to adverse condition of the economy of the country.

Under works contract there is a limit 40/60 for Service tax and VAT while in VAT it is 30/70.This is unfair.Businessmen is liable to pay tax on 110 % of value. Service tax on 40% labour and 70% on Material under VAT. This may please be made justify. In both Acts ratio should be equal proportionately. I like to say that if under Service tax this is 40% as labour and 60% as material it should be same in VAT.

Interest earned by depositors in this bank can be exempt from taxes to augment resources All certificates issued for courses completed with bank loans will reflect the EMI payable Employers should, by law, be asked to deduct EMIs like TDS and remit to the bank. This will minimise NPAs which are high in education loans today Without Educational Finance at all levels the whole skilling /make in India initiative will not take off
