Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

I am 85 years old, ex farmer who toiled on land while in School and college to later retire as a senior judge. My grievance is that the urban land ceiling act (now repealed) was ultra vires of Constitution and there are many farmers like me whose farm land was acquired - deeming it to be urban land, without ANY compensation. My appeal to you is to have the Hon Law Minister to review the judgment by Supreme Court in (1999) 3 SCC 5 which in my learned opinion is against the Constitution of India.

Please discourage farmers to get into agitation and politics to achieve their means.They are being misguided by various people. Finally they suffer. Their job is not conduct protest. They should have write means to write to the Minister of Agriculture.Their voice should be heard. Their difficulties should be understood. Politicians should stop exploiting them

Respected Prime Minister: We should not give loan as currency to farmers. There should be input banks through well run cooperatives.and they should be able to sell back their produce to them. Please plant them in their mind, how cooperatives can bring revolution in a democratic set up.If AMUL can become a success, why not such things in other commodities. Pleae teach them, what cooperatives can do for them.

Need total overhaul of farming tools/technology. Keep only what works. Look at video attached - how they solved drinking water prob in desert. Get creative minds to speak with users, collect good and bad aspects and reformulate. Take the simple jhadu - small dust particles fly causing respiratory issues. Saw pictures of ghat cleaning, people bending and scrubbing-not ergonomic. Cleaning agents are they eco friendly? will they kill fish in river? design tools, cleaning agents - new industry/jobs.
