In India where we have strict laws for many crimes. But there had not been strict laws and punishments for people who are found guilty in misconduct of competitive exams and interview. This is where I want to draw attention of the present government. New laws should be implemented and the culprits should be given tough punishments. So that one in future dare to use unfair means for selection, be it government officials or student.

Accrediation as per Wadhington accord - now that India is a member- should have UGC as the nodal agency instead of the Nascent NBA ! The main reason for delay for India getting a membership! NAAAC and other accrediation agencies should have International oversight for their functional capacity !

Class 12th boards should be organized on a national level because students score high in C.B.S.E boards while it is very hard to score 99% or 100% marks in many state boards. This leads to more problem when the admission cut-off is too high in any University that admits student on the basis of their 12 th boards marks. The cut-off sometimes even go as high that a particular state topper might have not scored let alone the average percentage. I therefore support a single examination system forXII

The traditional structure of Universities must be changed. A good university gives its faculty freedom to design a curriculum and teach accordingly... In India, there is no scope for a student to shift to other University in the middle of his studies. A University which provides such flexibility to students to opt for a subject or that allows a student to switch to other universities in middle of education is naturally a better one ...

Most of the private universities do not pay-back to the society. While accrediting a university/college, it must be noted how a University/College is helping society apart from education

India is nowadays dealing with is a scarcity of qualified and desrving faculty in top institutes. In other words we can say that there are more unqualified and undeserving faculty in these institutes. Thre are a number of factors responsible for this. Some that I I understand are : 1. Permanent status of faculty. 2. Reservation in Institutes. 3. Corruption in Institutes.Result is unqualified become faculty and even those who join are good gradually turn down as they also feel permanentship fever

These are the further suggestions *Universities be accredited ONLY by National satuyory body. *Collages may be accredited by State/Regional accreditation body *Every accreditation peer team must have more than 75 % national eminent experts in the specialised area. *National accreditstion body must have atleadt 2 international academics *The peer team gets 30 minutes to interact with students and their out put quality. This aspect needs more attention to examine the quality of students.

Ranking of institution most probably depends on the results of institute sometym accreditation is not minded by owner .. bt accrding to my view only results of institut should not criteria for ranking becoz nobady knows what the internally managemnt of collge .. so just give ranking to colg according to student perfromnce by test which on conducted on district level and participation of all is compusly and accereditation is also imp . what facility and wht coverage of institutions ............

The bench-marks set by NAAC or NBA are fully relevant in ranking the institutions and giving accreditations. The real problem is how stringently those members of PEER TEAM apply those parameters in judging the quality of the Institute or how best the critical issues are examined to highlight the quality aspect. It is NOT practicable to accredite even in 5 years or give ranks to hundreds of univs on yearly basis. * There must be Region wise or state wise statutory accreditations bodies.
