In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

Hon'ble PM NM ji , in all most all the organisations the higher authority takes himself the credit for good works and fix responsibilities under him for bad work though the employee may not participate in the decision making process. I mean there is need of a technology for file movement (e filing) and decision making process to be available to all govt. and semi govt. organisations implemented through different statutory bodies. Examples for HEIs UGC, AICTE, UNIVERSITIES, etc.

Tehsildars' offices are unsually 'unscrutenised'. Primarily because he is empowered and required to exercise much discretion as under the land laws founded by the British. Make tehsildars accountable. Create an e-system which requires them to log in (as conveniently as possible) their decisions into it. Basically the idea is that his discretion per se is made accountable by putting in place an online directory/system for monitoring his day to day functions. #corruption #technology

No doubt technology is the key to development and corruption is the alage on the nation's development. I must appreciate the govt for the initiative taken to use technology as a tool against corruption but I condemn too because of a loop which is materialistic and i. e. video evidence is not accessible in court of law. So the use of technology as a tool gets its own demerits, and it becomes very difficult to treat something as a tool with a hole in it's peak. So govt must look this way also.

In continuation of my previous comment I've been facing problems in this regard. Most of the local stores/shopkeepers deny accepting payments through eWallets as their KYC is not complete or they don't have inclination to show their transactions in white. I request you to pass necessary instructions to all players/institutions in the Digital India initiative to make digital cashless transactions user friendly and widely accepted by all. No one should be denied initiative to pay cashless.

Dear PM Shri Modi Ji, In 2017, I took pledge to undertake max digital transaction (as well as encourage others known to me) under your #IamNewIndia initiative. I have most mob apps in my phone like BHIM, iMobile banking, MobiKwik, PayTm etc and have been making 80% of all my transactions digitally. This makes me save some money too in form of cashback incentives and promo offers. This also makes all cashless transactions accountable for all- payee and receiver thereby reducing corruption.
