We have talked n discussed a,lot about displacing CCE pattern by more effective Boards exams. What I feel is that +2 (12 class) board exams too need a serious change. In subjects of practical like physics, chemistry, bio,B.studies students secure 90% marks but get 40 _60% marks in that subject in theory. It simply reveal marks awarded to MAKE RESULTS .Practical exams of board classes must be held at neutral venue like theory exams.

Making the Board examination results available through SMS/email to students and parents will facilitate use of IT and make people aware of IT at an early stage. This will increase students and parents comfort level tremendously.Even scanned copies of the objective Multiple choice questions answersheets can be sent through smart phone mobile application itself. In addition to transparency this move will decrease psychological pressure also on students. No more suicides will takeplace.

Even an app( mobile application) can be developed for smart phone users so that they can view their results by logging on to the app easily with their roll number/registration number. This will reduce traffic on CBSE/Board examination website when the results are announced as smart phone users will not login to the website to see results.

If the Class 12 Board exams are conducted in objective Multiple choice questions format then the scanned copies of the answersheets of all students can be sent to the students/ parents/schools registered email ids so that transparency is ensured. Thus there will be no corruption and no confusion about marks/grades and no on can blame the system for any flaw as this will be a flawless system of cnducting exams and the trust of citizens in Modi govt. will increase tremendously.

When ever results are to be declared for board exams, students and parents panic because of the stress associated with them. The result get announced at 12.00 in midnight and students stay hungry whole day because of stress.Parents fast and go to temples/mosques/churches just because of uncertainity associated with board exams as it can ruin a childs life. It is better to get students/parents email ids and cell no at time of registration. Result can be sent to them through SMS/email.

If we have 100 simple questions in objective Multiple choice questions format ( one question for one mark with no negative marking) then it will be easy to check papers for students and faculty also. These answersheets can be checked by machines and will reduce time wasted in checked subjective question answers. Just like entrance examinations conducted for Engineering and Medical exams, same thing can be incorporated for Board exams also. This will encourage development of mind.

There is lots of stress in students not because of the content of the subjects being taught to them but because of the way the exams are conducted in schools.
For example for class 12 Board exams, things can be less stressful for students if we have only objective Multiple choice questions especially for subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, biology, economics and commerce. English, history and Law can also be converted to objective multiple choice questions format.

I am 26 and I am writing from my own experience....
For all my school and college exams, I had to memorize lot of Math formulas, Physics equations. I had to memorize "Pi" value, I had to remember in which year Paniput war took place. I wonder is that real education? Is that what we really need?
Can we reform the examinations patterns in a way which minimizes these by-heart techniques.

Although CCE is good , there may be some draw backs. The evaluation pattern vary from school to school and teacher to teacher. There is no common yardstick to measure accurately the academic standard of the students. Moreover the performance in non scholastic subjects should not be considered to give up gradation in scholastic subjects

CCE pattern is good, but it needs to be modified so as to reduce paper works. Continuous evaluation is required but not in the form of too much paper works. FA is needed to be modified keeping in view to village schools. Class-8 & Class-10 unique Board Examination with external valuation system is essential for all boards existed in India.
