Examination reforms that focus on problem-solving, critical thinking and reasoning skills are critical to improving quality at the secondary level. Such reforms will change the teaching–learning processes and improve learning outcomes. In recent years, CBSE has introduced wide-ranging examination reforms in schools affiliated to it, such as Class X Board Examination has been made optional, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been strengthened so that the students, are assessed on an ongoing basis for their holistic development, a system of grading in place of marks has been introduced. The objectives are to look at the existing systems and suggest reforms which would help better assessment of students.

DENY THE AUTHORITY OF SCHOOLS TO OMIT ANY CHAPTER OF ANY SUBJECT AS AND WHEN THEY WISH. SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS THAT THE SCHOOLS DON'T TEACH THE IMPORTANT CHAPTERS AND THEN OMIT IT FROM THE SYLLABUS

REMOVE EUCLID'S CHAPTER FROM 10TH STD GUJARAT BOARD MATHS TEXTBOOK. OUR TRADITIONAL METHODS FOR FINDING G.C.D AND L.C.M ARE BETTER THAN EUCLID'S. EUCLID'S METHODS ARE BORING AND CONFUSING.IN S.S WE ARE TEACHING THE MEDIEVAL AGES. PLEASE FRAME A CURRICULUM OF HISTORY BY STUDYING WHICH THE STUDENTS CAN LEARN SOME MORALS AND VALUES FROM IT. STUDENTS ARE JUST MUGGING UP THE SHORT NOTES, BRIEF ANSWERS AND DRAINING THEM IN THE EXAMS. THEY IMMEDIETELY FORGET THE ENTIRE SOCIAL STUDIES SUBJECT AFTER EXAM

EXCEPT FOR LANGUAGE SUBJECTS THERE SHOULD BE A COMMON SYLLABUS FOR ALL STANDARDS IN ALL STATES. THIS WILL PROVIDE UNIFORM AND EQUAL LEVEL OF EDUCATION TO ALL. ALSO, THE 10TH STD BOARDS SHOULD NOT BE REMOVED. ESPECIALLY IN GUJARAT, THE MCQ'S SHOULD BE REDUCED AND MORE WEIGHTAGE OF MARKS SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THE SUBJECTIVE PART BECAUSE ANY DULL STUDENT CAN PASS BY SIMPLY MUGGING MCQ'S WITHOUT EVEN THE LEAST UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONCEPTS

External evaluation should be restarted in X Boards. Abolish this CCE pattern as it has totally failed in it's mission. Quality of education is decreased. Even students securing A1 grade lacks knowledge. Schools are not giving honest grades to students. Students have become less serious for studies. This will degrade the skill of India in future. Urgent corrective reforms are needed to save the quality of education in our country.

Improvement in examination policy is compulsory because the education policy of any country depends on the examination policy of that country.
