(continuation of previous comment). These so called toppers who are crammers & dishonest are preferred in colleges & jobs. The stupids join their father's business & spoil the markets. The honest neither get jobs nor survive in business. Contradictions are rare to be seen. This is the cause of country's problems. If you don't believe than you may have an impartial research conducted.

Cheating should be severely punished. Today, almost 96 percent students cheat. Cheating is also done in board exams too. Cheaters are only warned repeatedly in home exams. CCTV footage is of no use as no action is taken. The stupids cheat to get passing marks & the so called toppers cheat to score as high as possible. The toppers are warned seldom & all this discourages them who have been honest i.e. not cheated. Thus, honest students suffer & score less. (continued in next comment).

Exam pattern is encouraging cramming. Studies have become based on exams. Practical studies & exams should be made compulsory by replacing 3 hour exams. Exams should be such that they judge knowledge mental ability on basis of understandability, analytical skills & practical application of knowledge like PSA exams, etc. Ill-effects of cramming & how studies & exams should be have been better shown in 3idiots. Teachers should teach good at school instead of in coachings.

Examination should not be based on cramming.Performance of child is measured in 3 hours examination which is not a proper way. There should be transparency in the system and it should be measured on the basis of overall performance of the child throughout the year through internal examination.

Remove the importance of standardised tests as the main criteria of assessing academic ability. It leads to mugging up of books which ultimately lead to low quality. Reduce the volume of syllabus and give importance to the quality of what is being taught. Teach what is necessary suiting today's needs. Continuous evaluation should be made considering the following
A. Students response in this classroom
B. Assignments and seminars.
C. Viva on assignments
These measures need quality teachers
