Examination reforms that focus on problem-solving, critical thinking and reasoning skills are critical to improving quality at the secondary level. Such reforms will change the teaching–learning processes and improve learning outcomes. In recent years, CBSE has introduced wide-ranging examination reforms in schools affiliated to it, such as Class X Board Examination has been made optional, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been strengthened so that the students, are assessed on an ongoing basis for their holistic development, a system of grading in place of marks has been introduced. The objectives are to look at the existing systems and suggest reforms which would help better assessment of students.

@sanjay karanwal_1 If you build curiosity in the subject, even the student you think is a dumb will listen to you. Don't teach them to secure just mark, teach them to know something. How many times did you take class test, to test their knowledge instead of testing their memory.

@sanjay karanwal_1 What does respect means to you? Does it mean not opening their mount in front of you. If they don't open their mouth, how will you know what are their wants and thinking. Or does it mean they don't listen to you, when you teach in class. If that is the case, I can bet that while you teach, you don't build curiosity in them, you don't allow them think about the problem. You just go on teaching in a monotonous way.

other opinion is grade system for primary and secondary education is very harmful. Due to this grade system maximum students don't know how much they have to work and other bad effect is they don't respect their teachers. because they know that they will jump to next class.it is also harmful for country future.

@Harshal Pawar Agreed with all your points, but mere qualification will not bring quality teacher. All India Entrance Exam is a must for being eligible for teacher. http://qr.ae/dvbtX

Please also see the MCQs. Similar type of questions can be given to our students, to know whether they have understood or not. Not like grading system in CCE which can be completely biased and depends upon the teacher thinking about the student.

In CCE system, students should be taught some personality development system e.g. instead of judging them whether they have tackled effectively a situation or not, we should teach them how to tackle a situation.
