Marks/scores in the examination is considered as an indication of performance and knowledge level. however, most of the high scorers fail in real life situations and they are unfit for employment expected out of( or on par with ) the qualifications earned. We need to focus more on Affective and Psychomotor skills in addition to cognitive skills of students.

Hence by-hearting trend will go.
If a student gets low score in one month's exam then they should be allowed to take a supplementary monthly exam in the coming month so that they can average their score well.

Exam fear in the student should go.
Single final exam for full 100 marks should go.
Every month there should be an exam for the portions covered during the month.
Question paper should be set by government centrally uniform to all schools.
Questions to be set in such a manner that students should apply their brine properly and refer the books properly during the limited period exams.
Unless they read well and understand the subject they will not be able to solve the questions.

Examinations should be such that students should write the answers by referring any text books, etc.
If they understand to solve any given problem in a twisted manner or so by using text book, it should be ok.
Because in their future tasks in their life they can solve the problem using all available resources.
Basically they should be trained well to use the reference books properly.
Mass copying like in bihar recently has got no meaning.
Even online examinations may be thought of.

ICSE syllabus is volumetric for class 9 & 10. The Govt. should request ICSE board to have syllabus in tune with latest requirement.Having more syllabus is putting burden on students.

As on today every child & parents are worried of achieving marks. On the contrary it has been observed that knowledge on fundamentals is reducing from students. Earlier a person with 55% marks was having good knowledge of fundamentals & principles. Due to this we know how to operate system or things without having basic fundament knowledge. For eg. A person using calculator will never try to apply mind for simple calculation in the super market like places.

In examination students passing criteria should be increase for example in rajasthan secondary exam there are 20 number to be sent from school these twenty number are very confusing and quite disturbing for our country.so in this 7 marks of half yearly one should score more than 60 out of 70 gets 7 marks.During session 1,2,3 unit tests are conducted in that each subject contain 1 marks.so out of 10 marks 5 are of project and 5 marks of attendence and behaviour with teachers
