Less parking space in many cities & towns - specifically in our country due to the huge population and comparatively less available space!!
Can car parking ‘malls’ be built across roads/highways with bases/pillars on the ground, taking comparatively less space & then in several floors above the ground(somehow elliptical shape)? Road traffic jams can be minimised.
Those parking zones can be equipped with charging points, solar energy hub as per the feasible design!!
New “avenue” for new build!!

Unfavorable British/Congress labour law or Social security law needs to amend / modify because most of Private sector Employee are getting exploited on ground.
# Law with Loopholes as follow:
1) Workmen' Compenstion Act of 1923.
# What about middle class professionals.
2) Payment of wages Act 1936
# Tax deducted without my concern.
3) Industrial employment Act 1946.
# Termination / separation financial settlement / leave issue is under cover always.
4) Minimum wages Act of 1948
# industrywide wages need to set up. Else lot of under paid working.
5) EPF act 1952
# 12 % both are deduct/ include in CTC these day.
6) Maternity Benefit Act 1956
# Daycare must fo all company. ELSE woman staff career getting effected.
7) Paymnet of Bonus Act 1965
# Why shown in CTC
8) Payment of Gratuity 1972.
# 5 year is too long in this tough dirty corporate world, so please release at the full & final.

Our suggestion is from the industry experience. It is workable and highly scalable. Construction sector currently has a skilled manpower requirement of approx 40 lakhs. Earlier Skill Development schemes have failed to achieve the objectives since they were not mapped to sectorial requirements.
Construction sector offres many advantages viz. 1) It can absorb freshers with no/less education. 2) Candidates can be trained easily in quick time frame. 3) Placement is guaranteed due to existing demand-supply gap. 4) Offers avenues to become entrepreneurs such as labour/ small contractors.
The Proposed Scheme - 1) With industry participation the identified candidates will be given Pre Placement Offers 2) Candidates will be mobilized at construction sites having demand and will be trained for 30 days 2) Successful candidates post certification will be employed at the sites itself.
Success is guaranteed only if the program is run by the industry and for the industry.

Most schools don't have vocational courses for skill development. This should be implemented under NEP-2020 soon so that students can develop specific skills along with their academics. This enables the new generation to stand on their on feet even during difficult times.

Retired IAS and Former Governor of RBI
