What is the role of parents in furthering education for daughters? Do you think a broader and more equal outlook among parents would help more daughters to go to school?

Why do we say "Girl Child Education". The moment we differentiate a boy from a girl we put the girl in a separate class from the boy. Education should be universal & hence there should not be a distinction between a boy and a girl. We know the problems now in the society from the time when we started differentiating among castes. previously we were all humans, or Indians as one. Now we are so many classes based on castes. Similarly we should not make the mistake of differentiating girl from boy.

indian society and indian economy is responsible for discrimination against daughters. speeches of prime minister at panipat for beti bachao beti padhao will not prevent a single female infanticide in haryana or other state. discrimination against women will stop, if central government immediately implements 50% reservation of women in lok sabha, vidhan sabha, government employment, educational institutions. Modi ji should follow his lofty speeches with action also to win all future elections.

All the parents should communicate friendly with their daughters so that she can share what she want to do in her life.. Being a girl, there are many restriction in her family that she cannot do these or that work and cannot emerge herself.. this should be vanished and all the parents should know that she has also the right to do what she wants in her her life.. A GIRL NEVER FORGET THEIR PARENTS INVOLVEMENT IN THEIR LIFE AND NEVER DO THE THINGS WHICH WILL HURT THEIR PARENTS PROSPERITY..

Being a father of two daughters, I always encouraged them to explore new avenues which could contribute to the growth of the nation.I am a retired IAF soldier. They finished their biotech(Hons) and chose Ocean Studies and Marine Biology for higher studies (M.Sc.). The elder one was gold medalist from Pondicherry University and the younger topped the Ph.D. entrance exam of PU. As a UGC Merit Scholarship holder, she still awaits scholarship for 2nd & 3rd year. Our Govt. needs to encourage girl child.
