social audit. Could there be a system of social audit for government run schools where progress of education of girl child can be monitored? I think there is a scope in this aspect. volunteers can be sought from among the citizens who can be involved in this monitoring tasks, provided they meet the rquisite qualification. this system can be a source of honest information from civil society and not a criticism. I am sure, if the governmet invites volunteers, many will oblige.

There is no doubt that present initiatives on Girl child education is going on well. Only thing is educating the parents in a proper way will be the matter. Its depend upon the areas. In my area Mangalore parents are well aware and educators are putting their full effort. Same thing should happen in all the region. Only through making parents aware on importance of girl child education will reach this project to a success.
