There are no easy public grievance system in this sector. E.g. Bescom charged huge amount for March and April all though some people paid the for April.
At the same time they increased the tariff as well. Leaving consumers to big financial crisis. We do not have a central point to highlight such big issues impacting lakhs of consumers. The draft proposal are good but doesn't include such painful areas.

Each state should be enabled by loose leashes to formulate state specific solutions to
address endemic challenges and to evolve the power industry, the mother of all industries
in harmony with the general development perspective of the State

In such conditions, it is suggested that the
power shall only be exercised after ensuring consent of the respective State Governments
and providing adequate compensation

This
power, if exercised may create unwarranted hardships to the parties who have contracted
the power and may be detrimental to the interests of the State in general, besides being
an infringement of the spirit of federalism.

Section 11 of the draft amendment empowers the Central Government to control all

Kindly provide a provision to penalize Electricity supply companies to maintain voltage and prevent destabilization with multiple fluctuations. Any maintenance period should be carried out with complete precautions to avoid any burn out for customers appliances. Restoration of electricity supply should be clearly based on maintaining standard parameters all across India

It would help to increase usage of solar panels for domestic installation and supports folks to sell off the additional capacity to the grid. This will be encourage local additional capacity. We need to bring out norms to allow the usage in apartments and commercial complex too, with reduced cost of solar panels.
