India has a rich legacy of practices and knowledge touching different spheres of life and a scientific heritage traversing various Science & Technology (S&T) domains. The traditional knowledge of India is available in various forms such as classical texts, manuscripts and/or as oral communication that has been passed on over thousands of years. This valuable knowledge is often part of our daily practices as well. Some of the traditional practices are livelihood means of the concerned knowledge holders. Our traditional practices exist in synergy between human needs and nature, often balancing resources and requirements in a local context. However, with time, India’s Traditional Knowledge Systems are eroding rapidly, and the nation has also been witnessing erosion in people’s faith towards our traditional knowledge. A grave concern is the mindless attitude of some to mimic non-Indian cultures and disdain for our traditions. It’s important to recognize that traditional heritage is an integral part of any country’s development and progression. This calls for necessary attention and action from the concerned stakeholders in the country to build further on our scientific inheritance. Only a well-informed and balanced society can drive the advancement of the country.

Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister and President, CSIR Society, Shri Narendra Modi, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is spearheading the efforts to collaborate with the relevant partners from across the country and implement the national initiative SVASTIK (Scientifically Validated Societal Traditional Knowledge) for communicating India’s traditional knowledge to the society. CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) is the nodal organization to implement this national initiative.

The prime mission of the initiative is to conserve scientifically validated traditional practices, and instil confidence in citizens regarding the scientific values of our traditional knowledge/practices.

We invite the suggestions of academicians, researchers, subject-matter experts, students, NGOs, and the public on how to instil confidence in society about our traditional knowledge and practices. This will help us in our mission to inculcate a scientific temper and instil confidence in citizens by stimulating the Science-Scientist-Society connect towards our traditional knowledge and practices.

Our Traditional culture is the example to the world. We will always teach to our next generation for this. it will work there is no ending for our traditional culture knowledge.

वैदिक नववर्ष, चैत्र शुक्ल प्रतिपदा विक्रमी संवत् 2079 (2 अप्रैल, 2022) की आप सभी को शुभकामनाएं। चैत्र शुक्ल प्रतिपदा का ऐतिहासिक महत्व :- 1 इसी दिन आज से 1,97,38,13,122 वर्ष पूर्व ईश्वर ने सृष्टि की रचना प्रारंभ की थी।(सृष्टि संवत्) 2 इसी दिन आज से 1,96,08,53,122 वर्ष पूर्व इस सृष्टि काल के प्रथम युवा मनुष्यों के जोड़ों ने जन्म लिया था।(मानव संवत्) 3 मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम श्रीराम का राज्याभिषेक भी इसी दिन हुआ था। 4 महाराज युधिष्ठिर का राज्याभिषेक 5157 वर्ष पूर्व इसी दिन हुआ था। 5 2078 वर्ष पूर्व सम्राट विक्रमादित्य ने इसी दिन अपना राज्य स्थापित किया। उसी दिन से प्रसिद्ध विक्रमी संवत् प्रारंभ हुआ। 6 147 वर्ष पूर्व महर्षि दयानंद सरस्वती जी ने इसी दिन को आर्य समाज की स्थापना दिवस के रूप में चुना। आर्य समाज वेद प्रचार का महान कार्य करने वाला एकमात्र संगठन है। 7 विक्रमादित्य की भांति शालिवाहन ने हूणों को परास्त कर दक्षिण भारत में श्रेष्ठतम राज्य स्थापित करने हेतु यही दिन चुना। 8 राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के संस्थापक डॉ. केशवराव बलिराम हेडगेवार जी का जन्मदिन है

Vidya dana( free education) and Anna dana 2 most important aspects of Sanatana Dharma. In the Guru Kula system, the Ashramas were taken care off by the king. The students didn't have any worry regarding educational expenses. Similarly, the acharyas could focus on the teachings as they were also provided facilities. Thus, Ashramas ( educational institutions) were able to produce excellent scholars and in turn the nation reaped the benefits. This was possible because all were nation centric.  The present educational institutions amaze huge wealth at the cost of the quality of education which takes a toll on the development of the nation. If the education were free, the nation would be very strong knowledge wise. That is every student would be educated and would be able to stand on his/her own legs and subsequently, the nation would become self sufficient. Instead of sending our people abroad for studies, they would come here like during that of Nalanda period.

On a tour in the Garhwal region, many years back, we got down from the tourist bus at a spot where a small but beautiful waterfall ran down the mountain-side. There, one of the tourists got stung by an insect on the back of his palm and he doubled up in burning pain. We were bewildered. The guide, a local man, calmly scrutinised the nearby mossy stones of the mountain and selected a small plant and tore-off a few leaves. Crushing the leaves between his fingers, he took the palm of the stung tourist and applied the paste over the affected area. That tourist went on exclaiming how his pain instantly vanished and we joined in praising the guide who just looked happy and said that Mother Nature had everything. The treasure of knowledge gleaned in by our tribal people from their closeness to nature is now being put to our benefit in a big way under the active support of our present leadership.

I have worked with SMHS, UNAIDS, Action-Aid International, Better World AIDS initiative, NACO ,UNDP and CTD. Treated over 2,000 patients for Schizophrenia, PTSD, Drug Abuse, Victims of Domestic Violence, Rape Victims and Diabetes. I have also been contributing through my expertise in the area of Armed Conflict, healing the survivors through a holistic medicinal approach.

🔥Hindu should be designated as minority in Kashmir and should be given permission to open hindu University. 🔥 Revival of Sharda peeth. 🔥 Big Hindu organisation like patanjali, Iskcon, art of living, sadguru, RSS, etc should collab together to make the university..... 🔥 There should be revival of temples, museum of genocide in Kashmir...govt should also collaborate together to make kasmir better...
