We have to understand that the tradition occurs as part of a chain while handling down from one generation not another. Thus, there is no clear division between tradition and modernity. What is modern for the present civilization would be traditional for the civilization that exists a few decades later.

Steps to be taken :
1. Need for social movement: Modernity does not amount to undermining our collective memories, our cultural traditions and indigenous knowledge systems.
Thus, people need to be made aware of this fact and motivate through social movements for building rational and modern thinking.
3. Bridging the gender gap: There is a desperate need to bridge the gender gap in Indian social structure. Focus should be on increasing literacy and economic opportunity for women.
Modernity will usher in the Indian society when its women possess a modern rational view of culture and are not bound by rudimentary practices like Patriarchy.
4. Focus on Human development: Modernity, further, implies the constant pursuit of improvement in human lives and of the pursuit of progress (social as well as economic).
Thus, focusing on overall human development will help in inculcating rationalistic attitude among individuals and societies.

Low status of women: Although politically women enjoy equal rights in Indian society, their social condition is not very pleasant.
They are ill treated (issues such as Patriarchy, women's economic dependence on man still exist) and thus, it is one of the biggest challenges in achieving modernity.

Challenges in engaging with modernity
1. Lack of understanding about the concept of Modernity: One of the biggest challenges in engaging with modernity is lack of understanding about the concept of modernity among people.
They fail to understand that Modernization is not about leaving one’s cultural practices. But opting for rational traditional practices/rituals.
2. Challenge by fundamentalism: Religious fundamentalism and rudimentary religious practices is another big challenge to engaging with modernity.
Religious fundamentalism sometimes fails to promote rational thinking and adoption of rational cultural practices.
3. Lack of inclusive modern education: Modern education has failed to reach every section of the society due to some structural obstacles, caste stratification or some negative elements of tradition or discriminatory attitudes of individuals in society.

The Temple are masterpiece and can consider as masterpiece of our ancestors arts carved on stones. The Way everything done the way importance given to each and every simple act we do. the way it explains more in detail from birth to death and important various aspects on every stage of life it's enormous. The wrong perception and half knowledge about it was keeping it away but who really tried to understand it From Yoga, Dhyana, all Sanskar in life and many things needs to be considered and covered. definitely it creates a great impact on foundation of being society also these are stories of real heroes which help us to understand situations but few people said it's myth. what ever it may be but this can inspire up also help to understand even present situation in deeper dimensions. This is beauty of it.

When we discuss or talk about Indian knowledge mainly it is derived as a part of Nature. Hindu as a culture, As a society, as a group of people who believe and value nature. Gratitude towards everything which nurture Life. Vedas which are door or window to unending knowledge source. Upnishad are story and simple form of knowledge of being and life. Ramayana and Mahabharata are the best part of it. all this became source of many inspiration. Most of time it is Neglected or undervalued or spread in wrong way. But a fact is that if this is one of the oldest civilization and still strong and Progressive accepted every where so there should be some more and if can take help from this life nature discoveries it will definitely help for a strong foundation.

One of the key reason for this is ignorance of Indians due to invasion and the deliberate manipulation of history books and media for several decades. Massive education drive needs to be started at all levels so that good people in all of the community realize politicization of religion and they all become truly Dharmic/secular and see the world as human being first with compassion to one and all life forms. Many historical and true stories were removed and fake and misleading information were added in the text books. This has to be changed and exact information has to be given to youngsters. Many temples with rich traditions were destroyed and there is no proper maintenance even now in many places across India. .
