India has a rich legacy of practices and knowledge touching different spheres of life and a scientific heritage traversing various Science & Technology (S&T) domains. The traditional knowledge of India is available in various forms such as classical texts, manuscripts and/or as oral communication that has been passed on over thousands of years. This valuable knowledge is often part of our daily practices as well. Some of the traditional practices are livelihood means of the concerned knowledge holders. Our traditional practices exist in synergy between human needs and nature, often balancing resources and requirements in a local context. However, with time, India’s Traditional Knowledge Systems are eroding rapidly, and the nation has also been witnessing erosion in people’s faith towards our traditional knowledge. A grave concern is the mindless attitude of some to mimic non-Indian cultures and disdain for our traditions. It’s important to recognize that traditional heritage is an integral part of any country’s development and progression. This calls for necessary attention and action from the concerned stakeholders in the country to build further on our scientific inheritance. Only a well-informed and balanced society can drive the advancement of the country.

Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister and President, CSIR Society, Shri Narendra Modi, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is spearheading the efforts to collaborate with the relevant partners from across the country and implement the national initiative SVASTIK (Scientifically Validated Societal Traditional Knowledge) for communicating India’s traditional knowledge to the society. CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) is the nodal organization to implement this national initiative.

The prime mission of the initiative is to conserve scientifically validated traditional practices, and instil confidence in citizens regarding the scientific values of our traditional knowledge/practices.

We invite the suggestions of academicians, researchers, subject-matter experts, students, NGOs, and the public on how to instil confidence in society about our traditional knowledge and practices. This will help us in our mission to inculcate a scientific temper and instil confidence in citizens by stimulating the Science-Scientist-Society connect towards our traditional knowledge and practices.

भारत गांवो का देश है । गांवो में जो पारंपरिक चिकित्सा की व्यवस्था है वह आज भी आयुर्वेदिक है। इसका विकल्प अन्य चिकित्सा पद्धतियाँ नहीं बन पाई है आयुर्वेद पारंपरिक ज्ञान पद्धति है और आयुर्वेदिक आहार ही स्वस्थ आहार है मुझे विश्वास है कि यह सुखद संयोग देश और दुनिया के लिए कल्याणकारी होगा । जय हिंद। जय विज्ञान।।

SVASTIK is a great initiative especially for students as in our upcoming generation, I can feel the lack of connection with their roots and our origin. A gap have emerged between the traditions, culture and our current lifestyles. I would like to support this initiative in which ever way possible. Traditional knowledge is our heritage, its not worth to recover the solutions after going miles from a different path when you already have marvelous past look back to it, learn from it, practice it and move forward with it. And SVASTIK being the large Indian resource base is an excellent way to revive our nation.

Many traditional knowledge systems are available in India. provide a YouTube platform for all such carriers of knowledge to record and give to public. Setup a dedicated team of learned people to evaluate and establish their efficacy and %age success as a traditional system. Also identify causes of failure if any. Use AI/ML techniques to ascertain. Last but not the least, bring in emphasis Sanskrit education as must in schools, and taught in Sanskrit itself (not in English). No Govt jobs without knowledge of Sanskrit. English, Sanskrit and mother-tongue should be taught right from LKG. Sanskrit thru moral shlokas (epic stories); mother tongue thru proverbs (for eg. Thirukural, kabir-doha, kahwat etc). Essence of Dharma to be inculcated; not religion [for example, a steering wheel as well as a tyre are wheels; but their dharma are different and therefore if misplaced, would result in dharma-chyuti or chaos]. Psychometric tests to determine every 2yrs, about establishing varnas.

विश्व उत्पत्ति , कारण, ऊर्जा, भ्रमण, गनना पद्धतियां, विलीन, शक्ति जो इस अस्तित्व में कार्यरत हैं. उनके परीणाम ओर भी बहोत कुछ. इसमें निसर्ग के बहोतसे तत्व उनका वर्णन, उपयोग, जीव उत्पत्ति के प्रकार ओर अनेकों स्तर और आयामों पर भी बहोतसा संशोधन उपलब्ध हैं. उसका उपयोग या वह ज्ञान प्राप्त करने की सटिकता पद्धतियां उसपर विशेशज्ञों द्वारा सामूहिक संशोधन की आवश्यकता भारतीय केलेंडर. अनेक पद्धतियां और थेअरीज के संदर्भ उपलब्ध हो सकते हैं वह ओर मदतभी कर सकते हैं. इस सभी को वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण से भी समझना आवश्यक है

वेदों में शास्त्रों में पूरानो में सभी ग्रह उनका वर्णन और ब्रम्हांड और अनेकों रहस्यों के संदर्भ मिलते हैं. यह भी उतना ही सत्य है की वह ज्ञान सभी रुप से पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी हस्तांतरण में बाधाओ के कारन खंडीत होनेकी कारन और उसपर भाशांतर भी सीमीत लोगों द्वारा कीए जाने के कारण वह अधीकतम हीस्सा असंमजस में ही है.

very high tax for salaried. i am not able to buy home because of direct high tax. shall i leave india? Thank you for increasing black money and corruption in India. You have many blind followers. You yourself is also blind, you cannot see reality.

make it mandatory for child to choose any Purana. Veda. upanishads. vedic math. yoga. natya shastra or hindu classical music as a subject from class 3 until class 10. the policy should be One child One sanatana gnyani
