Textile sector can be developed by encouraging our rural economy. It is a good employment opportunity for both women and youth. Proper training should be given to workers and they should equip and adopt latest technology. Our handloom sector can also be encouraged.

why can't the govt tie up with flipkart and amazon ? kindly tie up with those online giants and get a worldwide market for our ilkal sarees , guledagudda kana and Banahatti saree .. they are handmade .. you can market them using tag 'handmade' they are ultrasoft , easy to wear .
kindly don't give ticket to bjp mp gaddigoudar sir next time .. he is as good as dead .. I am born and brought up in Bagalkot constituency , never ever seen our mp in any civil work or function in 30 years

I would like to suggest you that the officers from each state can prepare a PPT on the textile speciality of the respective state & the problems of the artisans in those states. This presentation can then be shown to the Fashion industry and the film industry who then can interact with the artisans and the representatives of the textiles from each state directly. This will help the artisans to make the fashion industry know about their skills helping them to promote the age-old traditional art.

The govt can provide solar panels under subsidised rates to all the MSMEs related to textile industry and help the industry going environment friendly. The textile ministry along with the industry can conduct yearly international fair to promote indian fabric. Get the fashion and the film industry to adopt and promote a particular textile fabric and incentivise those fashion industry / fashion designers who help and promote the rural based textile and handloom workers.
