Recently, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the webinar on effective implementation of the Union Budget provisions in the defence sector. During his address, the Prime Minister said that the webinar was of great significance as it focused on the important issue of making the country’s defence sector self-reliant.

The Prime Minister said that the defence corridors that are being built in the country today would also help local entrepreneurs and local manufacturing. That is, today, self-sufficiency in our defence sector has to be seen as the empowerment of these two fronts – “Jawan as well as Youth”.

The key announcements in the Union Budget related to Defence Sector are as follows and we seek ideas and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders on the same:
• Budgeted expenditure for capital outlay in defence increased by approx. 19%, highest in 15 years
• Disinvestment aimed in the sector to increase opportunities for private players
• Reduction in customs duty rates to nil for import of parts by public sector units (under Ministry of Defence) for manufacturing of aircrafts and parts

आज 21वीं सदी में भारत हर सेक्टर में धीरे-धीरे आत्मनिर्भर बनने की ताकत रखता है जरूरत है देश के योग्य डिफेंस क्षेत्र में कार्य करने वाले वैज्ञानिकों को खोज कर निकालने की । इसके लिए ग्रामीण क्षेत्र से लेकर शहरी क्षेत्र तक के हुनरमंद नवयुवकों को अपने राष्ट्र के प्रति कुछ कर गुजरने वाले जज्बे को सरकार द्वारा प्रोत्साहित किया जाए ।आज भी हमारे ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में और शहरी क्षेत्र में ऐसे नवयुवक हैं जिनके पास प्रतिभा तो बहुत है लेकिन संसाधन और आर्थिक मदद नहीं मिलने से, आविष्कारक बनने से बचते हैं। जय हिंद

Honorable Prime Minister Sir, De-fence sector playing vital role during peace and war also.So its very important to give our maximum concentration towards this sector regarding men and weapon with their facilities pay,leaves and promotion policies and advance weapons which is very important for them.

We should invest in more standoff weapons, swarm drones, kamikaze drones, attack helos etc rather than more boots on ground. The current world witnessed a significant increase in the number of used drones, with a global and continuous rise in the demand for their multi-purpose applications. The pervasive aspect of these drones is due to their ability to answer people’s needs. Drones are providing users with a bird’s eye that can be activated and used almost anywhere and at any time.
