Recently, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the webinar on effective implementation of the Union Budget provisions in the defence sector. During his address, the Prime Minister said that the webinar was of great significance as it focused on the important issue of making the country’s defence sector self-reliant.

The Prime Minister said that the defence corridors that are being built in the country today would also help local entrepreneurs and local manufacturing. That is, today, self-sufficiency in our defence sector has to be seen as the empowerment of these two fronts – “Jawan as well as Youth”.

The key announcements in the Union Budget related to Defence Sector are as follows and we seek ideas and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders on the same:
• Budgeted expenditure for capital outlay in defence increased by approx. 19%, highest in 15 years
• Disinvestment aimed in the sector to increase opportunities for private players
• Reduction in customs duty rates to nil for import of parts by public sector units (under Ministry of Defence) for manufacturing of aircrafts and parts

Dear honorable PM/defense minister, It is absolutely essential to make progress in multi domain warfare. It has been in the development for a long time and has matured into very powerful systems. Many classified programs have matured and is being deployed globally. Offensive capabilities are phenomenal and it will not allow an adversary the time to even make decisions. The speed, the scale and the use of technology is unprecedented. It is years of research work that is now operational

Indian government and defense sector work really well in terms of securing the country's interest. This is the area where the nation is united and equivocally support each of Government's decision. India's think tank is one of the best in the world - comparable to countries like USA, Russia etc. Modi government is doing the best - now pitching to 'export' defense equipments and cutting off middlemen. My suggestion for defense sector to train MSME and the youth of the nation and increase PPP.

भारतीय सैन्य ही भूमी आधारित शाखा आहे आणि भारतीय सशस्त्र घटकांचा सर्वात मोठा घटक आहे ... भारतीय लष्कराचे जवान बिलाफोंडचे रक्षण करीत आहेत. युद्धादरम्यान सुमारे 23 भारतीय जवानांना आपला जीव गमवावा लागला, तर 150 हून अधिक पाकिस्तानी सैनिक मरण पावले भारतीय सैन्याने आजारी आणि जखमींना माघार घेण्यास सुलभ करण्यासाठी पॅरामेडिकल युनिट्स देखील उपलब्ध करुन दिल्या आहेत सैन्य जीवनाचे गद्य आणि श्लोक या दोन्ही शब्दांत त्यांच्या साहित्यात अद्वितीय योगदान दिले आहे.अभ्यागतांना सैन्य जीवनाचा धडा देतो.

Respected PM sir, distribution of bulletproof jackets so as to save our soldiers lives who protects the nation. Developed electric gadgets should be given to the soldiers along with the walky talky for better communication and easy mission control

Respected PM ji, I feel expenditure should be more on proper food. The MRE available to the soilders worldwide is of much high quality. Our defence forces also should have the best. Thank you
