Let us stop the abundant use of these and think of dry disposal system of our waste or with zero water toilets. Or else we will be approaching dooms day faster! At least, Open air field defecation has a very positive aspect that pathogens thrives only in aqueous medium and die due to air exposure in very short time and then dried excreta is good manure for the plants. Let us stream line this aspect and save the environment! I wish I am wrong but…..

So either way, the use of such type of toilets is not a boon but curse to the mother earth, which is causing soil as well water pollution, in the period when we are already at depleting end of water sources …. So its use will further expedite the loss of our prestigious life element!

In case of sewerage system ,80% of our water supply is being converted to sewage and then being discharged in surface water bodies with or without treatment. In any case with the continuous discharged of waste water raw or treated, our surface water bodies are becoming storage for pollutants due to reduction in water flow through human consumption as well as due to deforestation etc. and in turn reduction in the self cleaning capacity of the water bodies.

----particularly adding pathogens in ground water when its in continuous use at mass scale. This can be visualized from the classic example of getting colored ground water from the bore wells of western UP , where pesticides were in abundant use. So in long run, our ground water which is already in depletion stage will also be polluted!

Wet type of toilet- a curse to mother earth! Conventional toilets are with the use of water and the concerted waste water is being discharged through under ground soak pit or in the sewerage net work, depending on the location either in rural sector or urban habitat. In either case its causing heavily to polluted the environment. In case of soak pits, waste water percolate through soil and travel through soil strata to ground water aquifer ; similar to water harvesting, but its
