Dear Sir,Appreciate ur work and hope your govt gets another term.It is going to be difficult unless you take immediate steps like recruiting 1000 lateral hires to govt, who have different mind set. Will we never learn, see the varanasi bridge collapse, new noida building collapse, why there is no Engineers bill after 71 years.Crores spent on skill development, while the buildings and infrastructure is built mostly with unskilled people.Atleast ask the officers to act per suggestions in mygov.in

Sir, Numerous studies & recommendations highlights a lean & mean Army is the need of the time. This is to be enforced at Training centers and Academy. This has to be revamped by inducting more time for training on new generation Weapons, Equipment and outdoor excises where we require more qualified instructors. Present undue importance on drill be reduced though drill is much required in Army for the co-ordinated movements and decision, but this is being practiced later as per requirement.

Sir, recently there was an issue of domestic help in IPS cadre in a State which raised hue and cry. This is applicable to Army also where buddy is authorized to JCOs and commissioned officers. It is felt that this provision is misutilised and a large number of trained soldiers are utilized as domestic help for officers who are out from unit as well as senior retired officers. If this practice-in contradiction of rules- is stopped, about 10 percent of the manpower can be saved in Army.

Sir, As per media report, Clothing Allowances will be given to Army instead of issue of clothing. A welcome step to improve standard of Army and beneficial to troops. Presently the Other Ranks-especially Infantry troops- have to purchase uniform as the clothing issued by Ordnance have color & size mismatching and quality is sub-standard. This important decision may be delayed due to rehabilitation/re-employment problems of Ordnance Factory personnel. However. one time issue item be continued.

Sir, this is about media reports on reforms in Armed Forces, especially Army. There was a media report that the minimum pensionable service will be increased to 20 years instead of present 15 +2 years. In this connection Sir, it is felt that in a Country like India which has a heavy young population and youth don’t hesitate to join Armed forces, it should not implemented. But the alternate option- pension to be reduced proportionately- is felt double benefited ie, for the Youth and thenNation.
