"MODAL SPLIT" in transport network system is very very important to make a safe neighborhood. high speed public transport should be strictly restricted to the Major Arterial Road.

Trees muffle urban noise almost as effectively as stone walls. Trees, planted at strategic points in a neighborhood can abate major noises from freeways. Trees remove air pollution by lowering air temperature, through respiration, and by retaining particulates.Parts of cities without cooling shade from trees can literally be "heat islands" with temperatures as much as 12 degrees Fahrenheit higher than surrounding areas. So “PLANT MORE TREES AND MAKE IT A GREEN CITY"

The essential points of a smart city as per my point of view are:-
1. Economy and Employment - proper employment is necessary.
2. Education - without education no one will be a part of a smart city.
3. Health - health is also a essential part, need multi specialty hospital.
4. Potable water supply - need potable water throughout the year.
5. Waste Management - all kinds of waste to be managed properly.
6. Energy efficiency - use solar energy.

New town sets a very good example of a most modern township of india which ensure better living of its inhabitants. Many new technologies for better lifestyle is introduced here which other townships can adopt. However it would be better if government hospitals and schools in adequate number are introduced. More e-rickshaws should be introduced to reach every nook and corner of the town.More buildings with innovative technologies can be built that serves as an example to the world.
