The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

Pasighat as a smart city should focus on saving time, energy, saving travel time by having effective public transport as it directly effects productivity, low cast energy coil fulfill most of the problems as a smart city would highly need it.

The engineer of pasighat closes their eyes when something valuable asked them to see them.The most highly listed or one of the most common problems in pasighat is the Electricity. There are many ways by which electricity can be generate like wind, water, solar etc. Which are available in pasighat.

It’s would be very nice to have a real smart city proper roads, streetlight, shopping mall good hospital facilities. Make development to tourist resort.

We should construct a dam, harness wind, and solar and also set up thermal plants. Because electricity is the backbone of the city. Road of pasighat is in very bad condition. If someone pregnant would go through or drive through it her baby will pop-out itself without the need of doctor.

Pasighat should be made one of the most beautiful towns on this earth where all inhabitants live with pride. Plus point is that, it has many natural resources, i.e. Siang River, through this we can create hydro power; hills surrounds it for giving scenic beauty and landscape and fresh air; hills for adventure and eco tourism.

We need to have the pavements free from encroachments. There is no "smartness" in a so called smart-city if the citizens cannot walk. Every day, we see someone coming and setting up his/her stalls. Part of the problem stems from the lack of employment opportunity. However, we need to free up the pavements. We cannot have vendors occupying the free space.

First and foremost we most welcome that smart city concept is going to implement at pasighat town.I would like to see my pasighat town as one of the best smart city in India in terms of clean and green environment, better administration, better road connectivity, better electrification(like use of solar energy)better water supply. Smart city pasighat should also include amusement park for children and senior citizens and should be better provision for local and foreign tourist

*Basic infrastructure with decent quality of life /digital tech and information hub/ cleanliness, transportation , electric and water supply and Wi-Fi zone.

Proper Street and road should be proper. Streets and roads should repair 3 times a year. Pasighat Street and road are breaking and somewhere small-small pits become by the vehicles. So, now there is no street or road in pasighat it is a highway. The construction is going on and half part lifting only. So, pasighat need essential facilities. The most important thing is to good in literacy. So, to become a smart-citizen we should keep trying.

Through the Smart city, affected local people should also give ample opportunity of self employment in small scale industries, tourism sectors etc.
