Rourkela City, the steel city of Odisha, located on the banks of river Koyal and Brahmani has been shortlisted as one of the SMART Cities under Government of India’s’ SMART City Mission. Under this Mission Rourkela is required to prepare SMART City Plan and formulate its own unique vision and strategies through active consultation of its citizens and all stakeholders. Rourkela Municipal Corporation requests all Rourkelites to share their ideas, suggestions, vision and innovative solutions to transform Rourkela into SMART City.

Citizens are requested to suggest innovative, sustainable and SMART solutions for the Area Based Strategies: Retrofitting (Planning and improvement of infrastructure in an existing built-up area); Redevelopment (Replacement of existing built-up area and co-creation of new layout with enhanced infrastructure); Greenfield Development (planning and development in new areas) and also viable PAN City Initiative.

Rourkela Municipal Corporation is looking forward for valuable suggestions from all the citizens of Rourkela. Grab this opportunity to be a part of this challenge to transform STEEL CITY into SMART CITY.

Last date to submit your valuable ideas and suggestions is 30th November, 2015.

24 hour service Dene wali HOSPITALs banaane chahiye aur har 3KM RADIUS me ek primary health care center banana chahiye Jo 24 GHANTEY khula rahe.aur agar koi severely injured accident k Marij aye to uska bina POLICE interference aur bina kuchh formality k TURANT hi admission ho jaana chahiye .

If we r dreaming for smart city. the first step is we people should be smart. we have traffic lights we r not following it. we have street lights still we r using upper lights. we have dustbins we r throwing garbage on the streets. there is no use of smart city until we people not changed. modi gov is doing a great job so we people support them.

TO MADE SMART CITY IS THE DREAM PROJECT OF OUR GOVT. BY SMART CITY WE MAKE OUR CITY NEAT AND CLEAN AND FREE POLLUTION. DURING THE SMART CITY WE MADE OUR RIVER GOMTI NEAT AND CLEAN AND FREE POLLUTION. WE MADE OUR ROAD FULL FREE OF PARK AND FREE OF PEBBLES AND CHECK OUR DRAINAGE SYSTEM FREE OF GERM WITH GERM WE MAKE OUR LIFE HUGENESS.HEAVY TRAFFIC IS MAIN PROBLEM IN OUR CITY BY THE VIEW OF SMART CITY WE CONTROL THE OVER TRAFFIC AND MAKE OUR ROAD EASY TO RUN OUR LIFE EASY

Education: Government school education is one of the pain points in the city and should be improved. English should be must since the childhood, complete Hindi medium of educations sets back the student in global employment competition. We must agree that English has become the language of all economic transactions. You cannot expect a student who is not confident with his communication skills to excel when the clients are based in the US and Europe ("Make in India")

If we something like IT parks, Techno Parks etc etc where MNCs will be allowed to establish their offices these guys can work here using their best of brains..
