What kind of a Smart City where at every tourist spot, every market and at every red light there are so many beggars. I think if we are really planning to make our Rourkela a smart city we should seriously think of firstly rehabilitation or employment of the beggars and make ourselves a beggar free city. I propose the idea of training these people in some form of traditional and cultural art and giving them areas where they can perform or work for a living.

Care for the environment and the abundance of trees. Currently old(50-60 year) trees are being cut for widening of roads, but that is not helping the situation. Public transportation should be improved, developing metros, overbridges etc.

Waste management is a very important aspect for any SMART CITY. I propose that Municipal concept be dismantled and the Govt deploys Professionals to manage this activity as a nodal agency with contractors deployed to carry out the actual activity. Land for dumping waste to be identified in advance; Mechanism to segregate Bio degradable waste and others through colour coding to be specified and educate the citizens. Quantity of waste in each location to be temporarily stored in sufficiently ven

Smart Cities focus on their most pressing needs and on the greatest opportunities to improve lives. They tap a range of approaches - digital and information technologies, urban planning best practices, public-private partnerships, and policy change - to make a difference. They always put people first

To maintain cleanliness in the city, the collected garbage should be recycled as well as the bio waste can be used for producing fertilizer

The storage space to be appropriately determined based on the population living in that location - accordingly the frequency of disposal to be determined; Under no circumstances any sewerage water to flow into any lakes without the treatment; Power plants (using waste as fuel) to be sufficiently outside the city.

"For making smart city Various point should be consider:- 1. Replacing kachhe house into paka house 2. announced in public that do not throw home waste in vecant land near home 3. Gov. keep dustbin in every 100m so the people do not throw in vacant land and put up the waste in dustbin 4 Take fine who spit on rood, public place etc and throw waste like wraper of packing food etc. 5. Keep underground service pipe line so prevent frequently excavation of road for various services."
