There is a greater emphasis on integrating skills in education and a renewed focus on vocational education in secondary education. The National Vocational Education Qualification Framework (NVEQF) has been aligned with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). The objective of this group will be examine the issues of enhancing acceptance of vocational qualifications, difficulties in implementing VE , ensuring horizontal and vertical mobility, availability of teachers. Some States have been effectively integrating vocational education in mainstream education. How can these be adopted or adapted across other States?

Vocational education for the girl child like Balika Shiksha prescribed by Vidya Bharti is very useful for the girl child. The children must be given ITI training in schools so that they could do all the household affairs themselves.

अध्ययन-अध्यापन और ज्ञान पर ही समाज का पूरा भविष्य आधारित है। अध्ययन-अध्यापन और ‘ज्ञान’ समाज सुधार और जीवोद्धार तथा सुखी-सम्पन्न समाज हेतु सर्वप्रथम सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण एवं सभी के लिए ही एक अनिवार्यतः आवश्यक विधान है । ईमान-सच्चाई-संयम-सेवा अनिवार्य होना चाहिये ! विद्या को कभी भी व्यावसायिक नहीं अपितु लक्ष्यमूलक व्यावहारिक ही होना चाहिए । यह तब ही सम्भव है जब कि ‘पिण्ड और ब्रह्माण्ड’ की यथार्थतः जानकारी के साथ ही दोनों में आपसी ताल-मेल बनाये रखने वाली होनी चाहिए!’’

Vocational training prepared with colabration of industry academics and government agencies. Industry will give demand areas and training methods required and university should deliver by preparing curiculum and training platform. Industry should supervise this training and support by their experts and newer technolgical demands communication to change curriculum accordingly.Goverment agencies should dedicatly become bridges between industry and universities and facilate above process.

An early settlement of these issues will open a vast get of vocational training which will feed the requirement of 120million skilled persons in the service sector by 2022 the world over. 4. With the passage of time and the experience gained the vocational training may be opened for lower class students too.

3. There are three main difficulties in acceptance of vocational education by students (mostly left out or drop out stundents) (i) Proper certification and their recognition. (ii) Acceptance of their equivalence in govt. Jobs (iii) Their upward mobility.

2. Vocational stream may remain open for general stream students too and they may be allowed to obtain both certificates after proper examination.
