After many decades of the Cheetahs going extinct in India, the 'Action Plan for Introduction of Cheetah in India’ has proved to be an important initiative to restore balance in the ecosystem.

To underline the importance of this initiative, PM Narendra Modi in his Mann Ki Baat on September 25, 2022 asked citizens to suggest names for the project.
