Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) is a part of the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It deals with the tasks of formulation of policy concerning levy and collection of Customs & Central Excise duties and Service Tax, prevention of smuggling and administration of matters relating to Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax and Narcotics to the extent under CBEC's purview.

The current Customs Business Services are being catered through a set of independent applications;CBEC now envisages an integrated platform for providing services through a single application. The new application is envisioned to be built as a high-end futuristic platform which is robust and scalable.

CBEC invites suggestions to improve upon the Customs Business Services namely Cargo Clearance, Courier clearance, Postal clearance, SEZ – Customs clearance, Passenger clearance and Baggage clearance.

We request you to provide your valuable suggestions for improvement in the following:

- Cargo Clearance
- Courier
- Postal
- SEZ- Customs Clearance
- Baggage Clearance
- Passenger Clearance

Note:

-The last date for submitting suggestions is 15th September 2016
-Please restrict your comments to 1000 characters. In case your comments exceed 1000 characters, please upload your suggestions as a pdf document.
-The nature of suggestions should be in form of improvements in the current Business Processes
-The suggestions submitted will be reviewed by competent authorities before considering incorporating the same into the new integrated platform scope if found required.

Respected sir, Sir, My complain about the Govt. vehicles for travelling the rural and urban passengers they facing the lots of trouble by govt employs. The govt employs don't give the proper information about travelling. And passengers are feel uncomfortable in govt. vehicles. Mainly the ladies faces a lot of troubles in Govt Fields. For these Govt get action about their police and change the some rules.

Sir, The RTO Pune Maharashtra site for obtaining learning licence is not opening from last two weeks. because of which my child could not able to apply for learning licence. However this is working well with the agents and driving school. It force a common public to go through them only. kindly help the public by resolving the bug if any associated with it thanks

Sir, i work as an officer on merchant ships. I have seen custom officers coming on ship and asking the captain for whiskeys, beers, cigarettes and even provision items such as chicken or rice. This happens everytime whenever i come to india. I feel such embarrased infront of people of other nations. The custom certificate is not provided untill and unless these items are provided resulting in the loss of owners and charterers. Is there anything that can be done. Thanks you

a) Whole process of clearing goods should be 100% online, like in Singapore & UK. b) Interaction between customs officers, companies & CHA's should be only on electronic platform only. So that no body knows the individual identity of each person. Therefore no scope of demanding illegal favour (financial or other) by customs officer.

In respect to improvements in custom processes, I want to suggest that, the procedure should be simple and maximum use of advance technology in paper work as well as movement in physical goods. Loading and unloading of goods from vessel should be speedy and accurate without damages of goods, CCTV camara should be installed at all the area of port and also in offices.further, Godown or storage of goods should be updated with advance technology to move the goods with comfort and safety,best wishes

Respected sir, 1. Remove or decrease the tax for medicines and live saving equipments 2.arrest the drug smugglers immediately and give punishment. 3.lot of people buy something in forgin countries custom officers understanding those peoples collect limted tax only . 4. Give a advice for the passengers before landing.they are ready to clear the custom 5.Give respect passengers and their feelings. 6.collect luggage charges limited only Thank you sir

Respected sir, Don't collect tax as per measure hight ,weight.collect tax only it's bought rate. gold was allowed limited only. If they across the limt put the tax 10%. If they involved in Smuggling golds and other things collect Tax 50% only. We must Control the petroleum based produts(lube oil ,wax & etc) export because it was effect our economy. Govt take care of petroleum based export.collect 50% tax for petroleum based products in exporting time. Thank you sir

All customs processes, like checking of passengers' luggage, search of the person of passengers', evaluation of seized/recovered articles/goods, must be in-camera. Powerful 24-hours functional CCTV cameras must be installed at all prime locations, to prevent any act of corruption/collusion of excise officials, with criminals/tax evaders. This will ensure that all seized articles are honestly documented, without hiding anything, or lessening of the penalty, against smuggling/tax evasion.
