The government should not only do something but also be seen to be doing something by General public. The following points, if acted upon shall indicate the action being taken. 1. Adulteration: In foodstuff like sweets, milk and milk products, artificial ripening and sweetening of fruits and vegetables etc. 2. Spurious drugs and banning of drugs banned globally but still available in India 3. Ban on the export of scraps of strategic materials, which are imported in India, like Tungsten &Cobalt.

Firstly, in the current system execution if all the laws is basic problem. Even after the complain the action takes so long time that it becomes unlawful.
Hence the educate the consumers to raise the complains and thenafter provide the Justice in proper time.

All the advertisers play the border line policy and would never get caught in the misleading advertisements. They use their legal cell to frame the advt matter. Hence it is a remote chance the semi - literate Government officers could do. All you can do is to put up communal police to ensure such thin line of differentiation is made in advertisments

In present system all the administrative authorities (Govt./ Police or others) wait to get a complaint from sufferer first and then the authorities start actions. Sometimes the culprits go away when it comes to our notice. This system should be changed first- All the responsible authorities have to react any Misleading Advertisement when it comes to their notice. It is their responsibilities and duties to find the "Misleading" advertisement from every type of advertisements.

Besides the originators, the print and electronic media that are largely used for advertising and beneficiary of tariff for the same, should be held accountable for publishing / airing misleading advertisements. They should be heavily penalized and even black listed for repeated lapses so that they understand their social responsibilities and weigh the advertisements for correctness of contents.
