To encourage JAN BHAGIDARI and to make the procedure of budget formation transparent, the Union Ministry of Finance has decided to invite suggestions for Union Budget 2017-18. As you may recall, this has been a regular feature on MyGov for the last two years.

Citizen from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of the budget making process. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

Last year we had an overwhelming response with over 40,000+ suggestions for Union/ Railway budget. Several of the suggestions received on MyGov were incorporated in the last year’s budget. To know more about these, click here.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th January, 2017.

We should give relife to senior citizen in INCOME TAX. There should be no income tax on pension amount.or there should some relife in SLAB of income tax for senior citizen

Tax holiday be introduced for small innovating companies. Their designs be patented and protected. Production of innovated items be encouraged. Import of 'China' made/cheap items be stopped

Similarly more Khadi and Handloom cooperative units need to be set up. Since our honourable PM called upon citizens to buy a pair of khaki product, I have decided to make 50% of my clothing from khadi. It has a great potential to create employment in rural India. Mudra scheme loans be made available to weavers who create a cooperative society of 10 to 20 members for setting up, upgrading, producing and marketing

Small innovators, say a Micro company or an individual could not patent their designs due to high costs which must be minimised. A small innovator is unable to commercialize the innovated products/designs. A separate cell be introduced. A skilled labour be retained to make 'make in India' successful.

More Emphasis on education is key to solve the national problems related to unemployment, heavy investment in social infrastructure is the need of the hour. This time it is high hopes that transformation would take place.

IF our Govt is genuinely concerned about the present plight of small farmers, then start a nationwide programme of setting up Farmers' Cooperative for all produce, (similar to milk producers cooperatives ) in partnership with state govts. These Farmers Cooperative should have a say in the PROCUREMENT PRICE of their produce. Also finance should be given to these cooperatives to set up storage houses, logistics, processing units & marketing. The corporates and commission agents oppose this.

De desertification by planting drought resistent plants 13 First preference will be given to those, who donate their lands to the landless,in granting Mudra loans from banks

7. Make public transport system into e- mode by ppp model 8. New stress on the spread of digitsl money incentivise mobile system and swiping machines and completely eliminate service charges for transactions below rs 1000. 9. Provisions are to be made to clean all bogies of the train including the ceiling fan.

4. More emphasis on solaar scheme in rural electrification by granting more subsidies ,since majority are middle class 5. Infrastructure development in rural schools as well as the opening up of new schools in these areas. new schemes to avoid traffic conjestion in cities and as they will create mech waste of fuel. 6. Insurance scheme for jawans to cover both injuries as well as loss of their lives
