Under Smart City Mission stage 1 & 2 challenge, the Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation has received overwhelming response from its citizens, stakeholders in Smart city suggestions and ideas.

As part of citizen engagement & consultation process Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation organized a wide range of activities - e.g. submission of polling forms, essay writing competition, stakeholder consultation, painting competition, submission of vision forms, social media (MyGov, Facebook, Twitter), voting(online & offline) and focus group discussions etc.

On the basis of almost 47757 (both offline and online) suggestions and votes received from Tiruppur citizens, Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation in co-operation with its consultants has prepared a Smart City Proposal document for the city which encompasses different aspirations and dreams to be realized for the integrated development of the city.

Hereby we invite all the citizens of Tiruppur to participate in this review process where they can give their opinion about these documents to make it the best Smart City Proposal.

Please provide your suggestions and feedback latest by 11th December, 2015.

In Our smart city few systems need to improve first. online complain systems need to improve. I hope my suggestion will be implemented

Sports and recreation related suggestions: 1) Develop sports complexes at various locations within city for jogging, playing table tennis, lawn tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming etc. at minimal membership costs 2) Develop parks at various locations within city for walking, family outdoor activities and picnics etc.

Medical Facilities related suggestions: 1) Development of very efficient emergency service at various locations within city. Several people just loses their life everyday as they do not get emergency medical attention within time 2) Promote and build low cost and sufficient medical facilities. Currently people are suffering because of insufficient, incompetent but still expensive medical facilities. 3) Open training institutes for medical staff with various required specializations

1. Promote Green Building Design for all Buildings which is Energy & Water Efficient 2. Mandate Energy Audit for Buildings More than 100 KW 3. Mandate Energy Conservation Building Code Compliant Building 4. Sewage Treatment Plant for Big Residential and Townships 5. Awareness among citizens 6. Promote Business ventures related to Waste Management, Bio Gas Plant 7. Solar and LED Lights for all existing Exterior Lighting

The execution of the project of Smart City should be subject to Social Audit...such audit be an integral part of the project to check misuse of the funds..
