The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has been mandated by the TRAI Act, 1997 to regulate the tariffs offered by the Telecom Service Providers for its various services. Despite the amendments made to the TTO and other regulations issued by TRAI to factor in various market developments, a need has been felt to undertake a comprehensive review of the TTO framework, albeit in a phased manner, starting with a discussion on the core regulatory principles enshrined in the TTO, Directions and Advisories issued by TRAI on various aspects of the tariff framework from time to time.

In order to identify and address the various emergent issues and challenges, inter-alia, related to regulatory principles of tariff assessment e.g. transparency, promotional offers, disclosures and non discrimination, adherence to the principle of non-predatory pricing, meaning of predatory pricing, relevant market, assessment of dominant position etc., Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released Consultation Paper on ‘Regulatory Principles of Tariff Assessment’ on 17th February, 2017 to solicit comments from the stakeholders.

The objective of this Consultation Paper (CP) is to bring about greater clarity in interpretation of various regulatory principles set out in the TTO in consonance with the best global practices.

Click here to read the consultation paper. The written comments on the issues raised in the consultation paper are invited from the stakeholders by 17th March, 2017.

Many Telecom officers of BSNL throughout India are taking big bribes from contractors worked or working in laying fibre optics cable wrongly as per prescribed schedule. Contractors are not laying these cable to the depth of ground as required. Start immediate investigation against such works & the officers assets/money. BSNL officers & staffs dealing with people are not professional. By looting nations resource they are exploiting people & government both. They are making BSNL seek.

I have been using Mobile since its inception in India. I felt one very interesting and miserable fact that all companies working in India are not providing details of calls & data usage to its prepaid customers. Through this channel most of them are looting lots of money from the people everyday. Also these companies are happily deducting random money from their balance. They use some automated scripts for doing this. Please take strong & necessary action immediately.

Respected Sir, The banking system is operating without proper vigilance. RBI and the banking ombudsman are working selectively for people who can dare to complain against a stronger party - banks. Banks have shown extremely incapable performance since the independence as they are failure to reduce the inequality in society, as national banking system plays extremely important role in economics of the nation.
