The temple city of Tirupati has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development as one of the potential 100 smart cities in India. The Tirupati Municipal Corporation is currently working on upgrading its proposals for Round 2 of the Smart City Mission. One of the key processes of the Mission is to engage with the citizens at every stage in order to prioritise the areas for intervention. The Municipal Corporation of Tirupati are requested to examine the earlier proposals in detail and identify The gaps in the light of the Guidelines / Generic gaps issued by the MOUD and post their remarks/feedback on the discussion thread. The citizen engagement would lead to a meaningful envisioning exercise and identify the priority areas of physical, social; economic and institutional infrastructure. It is expected that the citizens participate in this exercise and help Tirupati successfully traverse the path of transforming itself in to a Smart.

Develop a Transit oriented city with a compact urban form that promotes active, connected and sustainable mobility choices Child-friendly city providing accessible, safe, inclusive and vibrant public places

Roads, particularly footpath management is very poor. Name board of street and roads in developing area should apply. Road and footpath encroachment should be removed

As suggested by me earlier, zonewise development, fix areas of operation i.e. Government offices at one place, medical aids at one place, schools at schools/colleges zone like that . Any body approaching for one particular job should get solution in that particular vicinity. All the respective offices at one zone pertaining to that area should be available. similarly banks, and financial institutions etc This model should spread at all four corners in zone wise, North, East, West and South.
