The temple city of Tirupati has been shortlisted by Ministry of Urban Development as one of the potential 100 smart cities in India. The Tirupati Municipal Corporation is currently working on upgrading its proposals for Round 2 of the Smart City Mission. One of the key processes of the Mission is to engage with the citizens at every stage in order to prioritise the areas for intervention. The Municipal Corporation of Tirupati are requested to examine the earlier proposals in detail and identify The gaps in the light of the Guidelines / Generic gaps issued by the MOUD and post their remarks/feedback on the discussion thread. The citizen engagement would lead to a meaningful envisioning exercise and identify the priority areas of physical, social; economic and institutional infrastructure. It is expected that the citizens participate in this exercise and help Tirupati successfully traverse the path of transforming itself in to a Smart.

See it as an opportunity to better the place we call home and start planning ahead. We need funding, but we need a planned city more than that. And for that, a lot of expertise.

8. Project the significance of Vedic university, Institute of Traditional Sculpture and Architecture, Padmavathi Women University as Strengths of the city, which are only one of its kinds.

Realise that building a city is building it for generations to follow. Realise that expertise and knowledge base far exceeds public opinion. Hypothetical graphs and charts are not strong proposal infographs so much so as zoning charts prepared by professionals.

It is high time for tirupati PWD to house Architecture, Urban Design & Town Planning Dept solely responsible for the Smart City program and subsequent execution.

we can modify and make such drug detection system that may be difficult to anticipate but are effectective , plus their installation should be smartly planned with higher concentration of detectors in those areas where dealer are more likely to pass
