Varanasi has been selected by MoUD, GoI under Smart City Mission Phase-I 100 cities. In the next phase, Varanasi has to compete with 98 other cities from across the country to make it into the Top 20 cities.
Citizens and stakeholders of Varanasi are requested to post their views and suggestions on the Smart Vision Statement for Varanasi to be developed as Smart City. The solutions, suggestions & views should reflect the Vision of the City.
Vision:

“To revive the Glory of Varanasi by conserving and promoting its heritage and protecting its cultural and traditional environs to boost tourism and employment, provide quality urban services, accountable governance to enhance the quality of life of citizen”

" i can even provide detailed suggestions for Ranchi under Smart City Scheme but keeping in view word limits, i would suggest the following submissions for the same- 1. Technology driven Solid Waste Management (addressing largely cost effectiveness, capacity utilization, environment building, professional M&E) 2. Traffic Management (Using Mobile App for real time solutions) 3. Urban infrastructure Management 4. Grievance redressal system"

स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने के लिए सरकार को पहल करनी चाहिए।यह शहर विश्व मानचित्र पर अपनी एक पहचान रखता है।अतः यहाँ पर विश्व स्तरीय सुविधाएँ होनी चाहिए।
