Varanasi has been selected by MoUD, GoI under Smart City Mission Phase-I 100 cities. In the next phase, Varanasi has to compete with 98 other cities from across the country to make it into the Top 20 cities.
Citizens and stakeholders of Varanasi are requested to post their views and suggestions on the Smart Vision Statement for Varanasi to be developed as Smart City. The solutions, suggestions & views should reflect the Vision of the City.
Vision:

“To revive the Glory of Varanasi by conserving and promoting its heritage and protecting its cultural and traditional environs to boost tourism and employment, provide quality urban services, accountable governance to enhance the quality of life of citizen”

Sarnath should be taken as an option for area based development. All Heritage properties should be properly conserved. The ghats should cleaned on daily frequency. Area near the Assi ghat may be taken under redevelopment Area near Varuna may be taken under redevelopment The Nagar nigam should send message throuh the SMS for the activities planned There should be proper vedio control monitorin of the city crossing There should be proper quality management of the civil works There should be better health facility, new trauma centers should be developed in the city RUCHIKA RAJ ,DALIMSS SUNBEAM SCHOOL,ROHANIA
