Varanasi has been selected by MoUD, GoI under Smart City Mission Phase-I 100 cities. In the next phase, Varanasi has to compete with 98 other cities from across the country to make it into the Top 20 cities.
Citizens and stakeholders of Varanasi are requested to post their views and suggestions on the Smart Vision Statement for Varanasi to be developed as Smart City. The solutions, suggestions & views should reflect the Vision of the City.
Vision:

“To revive the Glory of Varanasi by conserving and promoting its heritage and protecting its cultural and traditional environs to boost tourism and employment, provide quality urban services, accountable governance to enhance the quality of life of citizen”

The master plan of the town should be available online, so that any developer can see the prospects of the projects and implementation in future

We have to replace our street lights with LED. This will definitly lower our consumptions of electricity. Introduction of alternative renewable power supply like solar and wind energy would seem like a viable option (apart from many) for the development of smart Varanasi city

For making our city smart firstly we all have to make clean our residence environment so all you please use dustbins in our daily routine Effective implementation of building guidelines and construction rules as the city

cities roads prone to open urination and defactation near railway station,ghats,along the river yamuna should be given special attention by authorities.The carpet industry in the city should get a boost in the smart city proposals. The industrial waste in the city should be properrly treated. Skill development centers should also have a space in smart city.- Anjali Singh, DALIMSS Sunbeam School,Rohania

बस एक बात मुझे अखरती है वो है यहां की कानून व यातायात व्‍यवस्‍था एक हेलमेट का कानून यहां लागू नहीं हो सका इसके आगे हम क्‍या सोचें
